  1. All the time! I fly mainly the Xtreme Prototypes Learjet on Pilotedge using GTN750 and have never had a problem in 3 years. Sometimes you get X9 Star and you only got X8 but it just doesn’t matter. Dont forget Pilotedge offers a free two week trial - so come along and try it out yourself.
  2. Russ I've used Radar Contact for years and it’s a great program. Personally I’ve found PF3 to be a great enhancement on RC4 whilst still being solid and reliable- without ever leaving me hanging. It’s key improvements compared to RC4 are: great taxi instructions (in and out), better SIDS AND STARS, it does VFR! if you like RC4 I recommend you try PF3 trial version
  3. I’m not saying you haven’t had problems with PF3. I believe Dave on their forum will help. I’ve found his support rapid and extensive I have a lot of ATC experience on Pilotedge so I’ve got a pretty good idea what’s ‘right’. I bought PF3 several months ago. I’ve flown maybe 20 flights and never had an ATC problem that wasn’t my fault in setup in some way. My advice is stick with it and repeat the same flight with debug on.
  4. You might like to consider the Xtreme Prototypes GLJ25 it’s my favourite bizjet and takes the GTN750. Lovely clear VC and 200 page manual. Flys great.
  5. Carlos. I have been running a similar spec laptop with the Citation X and it was fine. Its a superb aircraft although a little dated. Try it. And be confident because of the Flight1 refund guarantee
  6. I have to chip and say I've had similar frustrating experiences with VoxATC on and off for a year or two. I've also used RC4 for years and it works great but no VFR or taxi instructions (which I kind of like). I also fly a lot on Pilotedge so I have a pretty good idea of what is needed. A few months ago I ran the trial version of PF3 after seeing the banner add on AVSIM for so long. I must say I was really impressed. It was an instant purchase. The support is awesome and the documentation extensive. The taxi instructions are brilliant - even recognising crossing runways. It includes VFR flight following as well as IFR. The SIDS and STARS take a little bit of extra programming but they work well. The interactions and communications with AI seem fine. I haven't tried speech recognition with it yet. Anyone struggling with VoxATC? I've been there - get the trial of PF3! Cheers.
  7. Ryan. This was said in a thread about a week ago. I read Ed correct it promptly to say it included P3DV3 ie all 32bit. Cheers Dean
  8. I have all three and would respectfully suggest the Xtreme Prototypes GLJ25 is far superior!
  9. Thanks Ron. Looking forward to the Generation 3 releases now!😀
  10. Ron Your reply helps to clarify. You will already know most of the posters as Eaglesoft fans - not detractors. But having moved on to P3DV4 we are keen to see you there soon. As you rightly point out it is possible to run several sim versions in parallel. What might help is if you could consider giving some pricing clarity. If we buy a Generation 3 XLS and then upgrade to Generation 4 XLS when it becomes available will there be an upgrade price? Dont get me wrong nobody expects something for nothing. But equally nobody likes paying twice for virtually the same thing. Example - PMDG FSX to P3D - which hurt! Dean
  11. Curses! I just managed to reinstall both in V4 yesterday with GTN and the sound files. Took me several attempts but flying and sounding great again. Great work Sean. Above and beyond your responsibilities!
  12. Well what a great thread. I’m in a fresh P3D install with Navigraph and FSAero. On Saturday flying into KSEA on Pilotedge the controller kept asking me if I was sure I was aligned with the correct runway! Couldn’t tell because I was in clouds. Looks like a project for tonight and maybe some before and after pictures! and add magdata to my growing ‘reinstall’ list. Cheers.
  13. I flew the latest version of the 717 in P3DV4 last night and found it excellent as usual. In some ways I prefer it to the NGX. It reminds of the MD11. For me the gauges and vc are crystal clear and bright. No, it’s not got failures and still waiting for a few things like Holds. But really this is a fabulous addon in its current state.
  14. This really is a superb fun short haul aircraft. As per the link above the developers announced the end of the beta period this morning and the current 'state of play' will be encapsulated in the stable release - very shortly. I thoroughly recommend it!
  15. Yes there is. It sits behind the GPS and is accessed by clicking a button just above and to the right to access it and other alternatives. The details are there somewhere in the 200 page manual but I’ll post my panel.cfg here later today. Awesome aircraft. Cleanest VC ever. EDIT. sorry not in manual. I was referring to F1 unit but I think my cfg may help - later. EDIT ignore this I was wrong! See below. 16. A chargeback is when someone has bought something on a credit card and downloaded the product. Then the true owner of the Card notices and complains to the Card issuer who then takes the money back from the store and corrects the car holders account. Ive had bad experience recently with one of my cards being hijacked. I’ve learned a lesson and will NEVER again buy online without using PayPal.
  17. Just ordered a new gaming laptop with Windows 10 on 250gb SSD and 1TB HDD. Obviously I'm going to install P3DV4 on SSD. I'm wondering what else should/can go on the SSD? Currently use Orbx with Global and many regions plus a few UK2000 and LatinVFR locations. Is there a way to spilt the FTX installation between SSD and HDD? Any recommendations please?
  18. Maybe Kevan expects us all to have a spare copy of Opus or Ezdoc to switch to every time he forgets to put a pound in the electric meter? Come on guys we are being too nice - this is ridiculous!!
  19. I’ve just flown 60 mins in C550 on Pilotedge. It really is very nice now. Cant get HSI arc showing? Does weather radar work?
  20. Flew a short flight with this yesterday. It all worked nice. For someone with it already in the back of their hanger it’s certainly worth dragging it out and giving it a blast. Only downside to me is the need to shift 2 and shift 3 to change autopilot if I don’t change views (which maybe I should). This has now become a nice aircraft.
  21. I'm consider a new flight sim laptop and have a couple of questions. I'm pushing my limit on price so don't want to upgrade further unless essential. Scan Computers. 3XS LG17 Vengeance. Specs are below my questions. Thanks! Is 250gb SSD big enough for Windows 10 plus P3DV4? Leaving everything else on a 1tb hard drive? I would prefer NOT to add Nvidia Gsync for about £130. I don't currently intend using extra screens very often. Is Gsync a nice option or an essential? Scans reviews are outstanding and they are very local to me. They offer 7 day support. Does anyone have feedback on them or their laptops for FSX P3D? Overheating? Problems? I’m currently using low settings on a 2.2ghz (3.0ghz turbo) laptop and inferior Radeon 7550m GPU. I have to use a laptop due to mobility and lifestyle. I’m not expecting perfection from this new laptop but hope this system will give a few years of good performance at above average settings? Any opinions please Thanks. 22. LM offer a 60 day refund policy so you can try it out.
  23. Again great in P3DV4 and has a great FMC. Sacrilege I know but I currently prefer this over NGX!
