They have a fix over at the QW forums. But just a warning good luck on using the Avro in v3. QW does not support it beyond 2.3. And the aircraft may or may not have operable flaps, spoilers, or gear.

Yeah I would not load in KIAD FB and keep AI capped at a minima. Between DCA, IAD, and BWI its probably one of the most congested airspace next to NYC, LA, and CHI.

For complete and accurate scenery then DD Washington X is spot on. As someone who works right across the river, I can say its pretty accurate.

As Scott said that is a word not mentioned in the FS community and those who have spoke it have never been heard from again...............lol.

Also download and run the Standalone Manager. This usually fixes any couatl issue. Hopefully one day they move away from couatl which runs in background. I know Flightbeam is getting rid of it ASAP.

Yeah such a great little app. Didn't think to fire it up with PSXseecon. I use it on VATSIM now all the time to track traffic especially ramps and gates.

Not true. Hasn't worked since last update of Chaseplane. I always assign this key to track/pan, its a great feature.

Most simmers on Twitch have overlays that have Departure and Arrival airports but thats it. As said above getting data to show would involve writing a program. If your aircraft has 2D popup screens you can show speed/alt/heading all that data via those.

Worth every penny and its not that many pennies to begin with. Able to tweak the P3D cfg and scenery cfg. create different scenarios such as IFR, VFR, No traffic, etc.

Used this program since its release and like it a lot. Just ran into a recent problem of the program not keeping the limit I set. For example i'll fly from a location with sparse aircraft to say London airspace. If my cap is 40 AI aircraft upon entering London it injects 130+ ai aircraft. I end up having to hit the Optimize button and wait for it to say Data Request Sent. Then it deletes out the aircraft to get back down to 40. But the 30 sec. to minute it injects like 140 aircraft kills the FPS and smoothness of sim. Any solution or anyone else see this?

KEWR, KLGA, KJFK are also covered by Drzwiecki Design but have issues and aren't the best. But if you need a KEWR it works. KMSP is not yet done by Flightbeam but there is a good free version in the AVSIM library. KDCA the two mentioned above but also REX worldwide airports are currently doing KDCA, its free with REX WWA.

Is it actually scenery or is it an AFCAD? When you say ground textures do you mean the taxiways or all of it? You can put FSX scenery in P3D but may require you to fix the taxiways. The runways, ramp, buildings etc should show up. The ADE program will allow you to convert. In taxi links you just reset all the flags then recompile and ta da the taxiways are back.

Very similar to Aerosoft's forum layout. So not a big deal for me.

I don't think soiling the reputation of a legit FS blogger is "good fun" especially when it was ErichB who accidentally misinterpreted the tweet in question. ErichB feels bad and learned a valuable lesson about rumors. Unfortunately many took it as an opportunity to bash a certain FS news blogger.

What reason would that be? If you type PMDG or 747 in his search you will find numerous articles on the 747 and every PMDG product. AirDailyX is easily the best in flight sim news. He provides up to the date news. Attends and interviews all the developers at FlightSimCon. And has a close relationship with most of the developers. So calling it clickbait is the dumbest thing i've heard today. Wait, did Trump hold a press conference? lol. D'Andre is the least full of himself fs pilot and in fact takes the time to help the community. Erich pulled the trigger thinking it was v4 and turned out to be just a top notch scenery. True. Hangars and tower on west side are accurate. East side not so much. But that is where they keep the F-16s, KC-135s, and C-17s. AF1 has its own hangar on the west side, south end of ramp. The two runways are accurate. You can check out the MAIW scenery for Andrews. they may have updated it from FS9 version. Those guys do a good job with any military air bases and air stations. Getting it into P3D is the challenge but there is a way.

Why would you do that since the scenery is wayyyyy better with it? I think everyone has stated FPS and VAS is pretty good. In fact the landmarks are important for the river visual 19 and mount vernon visual 1. If you just want DCA then wait for REX worldwide freeware version or get the Tropicalsim DCA. Explored the area last night in a blackhawk and had 0 stutters and FPS as 25-30 with AI at 30%.

Bob- But how do the golf courses at the South end look? lol. Very cool you had that experience. I work for the Navy and play golf there a lot and always love watching the lear trainers and F-16s doing touch and gos. Anything is better than the default KADW and even the one MAIW did that I was using for a while. So for those asking it is improved but not 100% accurate or 100% graphically to your liking. The question is REX was going to do DCA next for their freeware airports. Maybe they should reconsider. A nice BWI would be fantastic!

There is a rule on VATSIM that if a controller logs in while you are on Final, you DO NOT have to respond. They should fully know that managing the aircraft on final is the most important thing. This happened to me and the aircraft landing behind me last week. While i was able to contact the controller and he gave me was clearance to land, it was no big deal. And he didn't seem pressed at all for me to contact him. The plane behind me didn't communicate with him at all and landed. Controller didn't say one word. If the controller lost his mind and said some disparaging comments to you then you should have taken a screenshot of the conversation or if you have shadowplay hit record. And declared wallop to ask for an admin. Having one bad controller shouldn't put you off VATSIM. Hell if every pilot did that there would be no one on VATSIM. 99% of the controllers are great and do their best. Most of the time pilots make the errors but controllers are allowed to occasionally slip up. We are all human. Learning experience. Keep flying online. How many times did you have a good controller? probably countless. I know i have.
