  1. Hey Masaki thanks for your tip. That's a great post for a newbie to XPL! I got a boost of about 6 fps which is welcome since I keep my settings pretty high.
  2. Thanks for the videos. They've enticed me enough to want to buy this ACF. Before doing so, can you please help out with some more info? (1) I have a CH Products flight sim yoke & Saitek radio/multi/switch panels. Not sure if you have these? Do you know if this ACF plays nicely with this hardware? I have had mixed results with other payware ACF in this regard. For example, Carenado aircraft work very well whilst the SAAB 340A doesn't. (2) As a rookie simmer still learning the ropes, I am not yet into full cold and dark set ups etc, although one day I hope to reach this advanced level. For the time being, I'm happy enough to manage a smooth take off, engage auto-pilot, navigate to a destination and land successfully using a standard ILS approach. For this reason, it is possible to set up the 767's FMC by only entering departure/arrival ICAO and one or more waypoints? That is, without it being essential to enter SIDS, STARS, departure/arrival runways, flight level, PAX, fuel etc?
  3. Which photoscenery are you referring to here Tony?
  4. Did you also install the required world-models library?
  5. For those on this thread who are familiar with G2XPL, I read somewhere a while back that with this program (or was it maybe PhotosceneryX?), you can't fly across tile boundaries. Is this still the case?
  6. Ironmaiden, When you say you have the z17 photoscenery, do you mean Simheaven's city tile for Toronto?
  7. By the look of it, you have UrbanMaxx installed. Could that be the culprit?
  8. Same for me. While waiting, or during a long flight, I watch some X-Plane videos or check my email on my tablet. I call it 'in-flight entertainment'.
  9. I was provided with great after-sales service by Jason.
  10. Cameron, For my part, in the US, apart from California, it would be the states of: -Washington -New York -Massachusetts
  11. Yes indeed. Especially for the US and Australasia, which is not covered by extensive freeware sites such as Simheaven (except major cities) or ZonePhoto. I for one would be happy to part with some cash in order to fly over photoscenery in my neck of the woods (downunder). Pity the overall sim market is so small here, let alone for XP10 itself.
  12. Blaze, I have a similar problem to you but can't be sure its the same cause. Is it just a coincidence that 10.25 was when community-created airports were introduced? Here's what Ben Had to say when I enquire about my problem:October 17, 2013 at 11:59 pm "Ben, What happens if we already have a custom airport installed which is the same as one of the 250 new airports? Let’s say, for example, we’ve already edited that existing airport and prefer it to one of the new ones in 10.25. Will they complete for the same real estate, or will one prevent the other from loading? Ben Supnik says: October 18, 2013 at 10:57 am If the third party pack has higher priority (which it should, or which you can set) and the third party pack has an exclusion zone (which it really, really should) then you’ll just see the third party airport. Kerbaugh says: October 19, 2013 at 6:34 am Hi Ben, What kind of exclusion zone will exclude these lego-brick airports? You’ve stepped on payware scenery of mine. I’ve tried excluding facades and objects but nothing seems to prevent the lego-bricks from stepping on my scenery. I even tried deleting corresponding DSF files in Global Scenery but that didn’t help. – Gary Ben Supnik says: October 19, 2013 at 10:25 am That probably means your scenery prioritization is borked. Facades + objects will do it, but honestly you should probably exclude _everything_" The only solution to my problem so far has been to delete the community global airports folder altogether.
  13. Thanks for clarifying that Blaze. I knew there was an upside to compressing textures, but I didn't know there was a downside. Do you happen to remember what the downside is?
  14. Hi Synti. I notice you are not compressing textures to save vram. Any reason for not doing so? This setting would free up some of your vram.
