  1. Bill, There is nothing wrong with your installation, it happens to me as well. Cycle the preset "FMC" on the PFD a few times (I know) making sure "FMC" is annunciated on the PFD. Fly safe.
  2. I have v2.0 and can't get the screen to switch off as well.
  3. My condolences to you and your loved ones Rob, take care.
  4. Ron, can you help me with forum registration at eaglesoft. I signed up on jan. 17, 2016 but have not received any confirmation for access. thank you
  5. Yes I did Ed. Currently, JJ is looking into why the installer isn't creating and modifying the EagleSoft Directory but that may take awhile. I was hoping someone could give me something in the interim.
  6. "I was under the impression they wanted it gone on the GPS map display that Carenado has on that PFD. I wasn't thinking about mode changes" I was thinking the same as well thus didn't have an answer
  7. Hi everyone, I installed the EagleSoft DA42 into P3dv3.0. In my simobjects\aircraft\EagleSoft DA42 directory I see two panel folders: Panel Panel.mpi I installed the MindStar G1000. From what I understand, the MindStar G1000 installer will modify the EagleSoft Panel.mpi folder in order for the DA42 to recognize the G1000. In addition, the MindStar G1000 installer will also install another panel folder called Panel.wsmpi so my simobjects\aircraft\EagleSoft DA42 directory I should now see three panel folders: Panel <---- Default EagleSoft folder Panel.mpi <---- MindStar modified version Panel.wsmpi <---- Additional folder created by MindStar My problem is that the MindStar G1000 installer did not modify the Panel.mpi folder nor did it install a new Panel.wsmpi folder. Also, the aircraft.cfg file does not get modified as well to reflect the new MindStar G1000 panels. Note: when I went into the aircraft.cfg and changed the ( panel= ) to ( panel = mpi ) the MindStar G1000 showed up okay in the sim but I was having issued with it during flight so maybe that was a bad idea. 8. I fly the FSX C172 with the MindStar G1000 in P3dv3 and get excellent FPS (57-60) vsync enabled, unlimited settings. When I fly the DA42 (stock) I get FPS (57- 60). I was able to implement the MindStar G1000 into the DA42 and also get great FPS (57- 60) on the runway. I take off and still get the same FPS until about 1,000 feet into climbing the FPS drops to 32 - 40. I noticed the PFD altitude indicator is causing the FPS problem in this aircraft, as the number change the FPS remain low until I reach whatever altitude, the FPS goes back up to 57 - 60. This does not happen with the C172. Anyone have experience as to what it could be, maybe a gauge conflict? Must be the D42 not supporting the MindStar G1000. Thanks in advance
  9. "Does anyone notice the aircraft begin to lose altitude when using APPR and capturing the localizer when below the glide slope? Seems like I notice the altitude begin to decrease and I find I need to push ALT to stop the descent." I noticed this as well on my last flight. One thing is fixed, another thing breaks, patiently waiting for v1.2 patch.
  10. Hi Mark, The "APPROACH" button works for me. v1.1
  11. Hot Dog! Thanks Ron. Your splash screen looks great! Fly safe
  12. Ron, How did you do this and is this the Bird Dog from SibWings? Thanks
  13. thanks Bert, I will try this method as well as Ken's on another thread. fly safe
  14. Hi Ken, Appreciate you taking the time. I will work on it more this evening. Fly safe.
  15. I still don't know how this PFD Altitude Preselect works. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Can anyone provide a tutorial for a simple flight and show me how to use the VNAV with the FMC. I am still having problems with the aircraft not following the FMC ALT constraints. How about another tutorial without the FMC ALT constraints and just use the FMC NAV and I can control the ALT myself. Or better yet how do I fly this aircraft in general. At the moment I have ditched this in the hangar and flying something more simple like my PMDG aircraft (at least I know their VNAV works). Sample flight: Kodiak to Anchorage PADQ ODK SHUYA HOM AMOTT ELIAS PANC Thanks for any help
  17. Thanks Ed and CaribPilot. Going to try this tonight.
  18. I'll give that a try after work, Thanks Mark
  19. Apparently the $10 discount is no longer available (someone correct me if I'm wrong). It was $39 - $10 = $29. In situations like these you have to act fast. I wasn't able to jump on their 1-week sale on some aircraft that I wanted this past holiday. Luckily for me and few, I was able to get this for $29. It's a really nice aircraft and I would pay $39 for it anyway.
