  1. They're rep states it on largest flight sim forum - to me its enough. Not sure why it needs to be on the website? As far as producing stuff for P3D goes, obviously they followed their customers. By wanting us to pay again for 64 bit even though the price of PMDG addons is already very high, they would go against them.
  2. HI Not sure which tweak causes it, but I get significant performance drop (FPS) when using PTA in overcast conditions when it's sunrise or sunset. (must be something related to cloud shadows). It causes even 50% FPS hit, not sure why. Which tweak might it be?
  3. Charts are actually easy and they make things much easier to understand. Watch some youtube trainings on this subject.
  4. As mentioned, I love how it has all the details available all the time and not only in my limited radius. One thing worth to mention is it will definitely help when P3D goes 64 bit to raise this radius - it never impacted my FPS but I always OOM'ed over 4.5 in long flights
  5. He said at least v3.x and x64bit conversion - that means both. V3 AND 64 bit and while they anticipated it will happen in V3 it does not mean that if it happens in V4 they won't cover it. Check here too: http://www.avsim.com/topic/461652-07feb15-pmdg-777-200lrf-300er-for-p3d-released/ It's very clear triple 7 will be 64 bit covered QUOTE: "Pricing in P3D will be different than our FSX customers may be accustomed to, as our P3D product line will continue to grow and expand under a continuing development program. This will include update to x64 versions, additional functionality and product capabilities as they are made available within the P3D platform."
  6. The statement behind price of their addons was that license will be compatible, look here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/461729-08feb15-p3d-pricing-policy-some-facts-on-this-issue/ If not, then it would be false advertising and they would face plenty of issues in such case. Dont believe for one hot second they will risk everything here. Depends. There are areas where Xplane 11 is much better and there are areas where it cannot compete with P3D. Thing is - it's the right time to have it all in one sim after 10 years from FSX release.
  7. Triple 7 has FBW too and PMDG attached real Boeing manuals to their aircrafts so I'd say modeling has to be spot on (although I can't say if that is really the case unless someone allows me to pilot triple 7 or NGX). Also 777 is a larger model and considering 4K liveries it again could be same VAS hog - but it does not seem to be to such extent (although at first release it was). That is why I think it would be good if FSLabs would work on improving VAS impact and not state that LM has to fix anything. (and I believe they will improve it considering their experience!)
  8. Truth is for me the biggest pain of FSX/P3D is LOD radius limitation. I guess 64 bit opens up possibility to fix that, so if not with initial release, let's hope that at least one day. One thing is certain, any more investments in 32 bit addons are pretty much pointless now, unless creators mention free upgrade for future code.
  9. Well the argument of sheer depth of system modeling sounds like PMDG is worse in this area so I need to ask - what FSLabs modeled better in their A320 than PMDG did in their triple 7 to justify this VAS impact? (I honestly would like to know as I am seriously considering this product when it gets released to P3D)
  10. Issue is for most of it (probably apart from PMDG and some less complex airports) you'll need to pay again. So same sim but on 64 bit, yet necessity to repurchase most of addons is simply a showstopper for many who don't sleep on moneybags. To make transition smoother, LM would need to work with addon makers now so they know what to prepare to and how to optimize the release (also cost-wise). Noone said that this hobby is cheap, but paying twice for same stuff but on different code does not seem a deal of the year. So again - I sincerely hope they will improve native sim to at least XP11 level texture wise.
  11. All comes down to your personal preference. IMHO Ezdok/V2 is overrated with its clumsy interface and all the shakes effects which really IMHO break immersion as they are usually not realistic (at least on the youtube videos) [i will probably get shot for saying that, but hey, be brave] Some solid GPS is something I considered in the past too, although I'm jet flier so I didn't really need it yet. MT 6.0 is cool if you have no time to set up traffic, WOAI is IMHO a great alternative (I didn't have enough patience but if you do, results are much better quality-wise). AS16 Is a jump from ASN IMHO, but with REX Skyforce coming I would hold. Judging by your probable expectations (A2A aircrafts user, so you look for maximum realism, living plane) you should IMHO get Yoke and Throttle lever as soon as possible. None of my software addons added so much immersion as those two did (plus TrackIR 5 but that you can safely get in future). Only time I'm still using joystick is when flying the BUS. Offcourse - that's just my opinion, ultimately you'll be the one to pick.
  12. Thing is, without any backwards addon compatibility, 64 bit will be of no use for long months. So it all depends on that - either it brings in new features or provides easy way to update stuff, otherwise Xplane 11 will replace it as it will be at least 1 year ahead.
  13. Did not find specific data but found a guy who tested FSLABS A320 on default FSX with ONLY FSUIPC installed. He was on DX9 and stated he had 1,2-1,4 GB of VAS left on spawn. so 2,8 GB of VAS consumed without addon airport and any textures is a HOG. Much more than PMDG, which in my case on default scenery was never over 2,4 GB. I get 3,0 at start with NGX on Flightbeam KIAD (3,2 with triple 7) with all addon airports (21) I have loaded into my scenery and all texture packs like REX4, ENVTEX, FSGlobal, FTX Global, Vector, Landclass and few ORBX regions. One thing to keep in mind - FSX DX9 sucks big time with regards to VAS management.
  14. @Noel, when you refer to verifying frequency in PMDG - what do you mean about that? Frequency you have in your FMC is coming from Navdata you have in your FMC (AIRAC), not from navdata in sim. If you want to make sure in-sim one is correct, you still have to open moving map, unless you have your in-sim AIRAC updated. As for a mid-size jet, for short hops I'm still using 737 NGX, but I'm sure new Aerosoft bird will change it! Never forced myself to go DASH way, as it seems I'm more into jets. :-)
  15. Well, they have something to work on here. Otherwise its great!
  16. @Stefan - understood. @Pe11e -> what water textures to use? Whatever I use from TOPHAT looks dark as coal. Some REX4 recommendation?
  17. Oh as you had different snow colour I thought its due to Reshade preset, so on Pe11e page there is troubleshooting section. http://ultimaterealismpack.weebly.com/troubleshooting.html
  18. Oh dear... that makes my Saitek Yoke, Throttle and Rudder pedals with TrackIr look like default 737 next to PMDG one.... I am SO impressed.
  19. Beautiful scenery but clouds look like what comes from exhaust of a diesel :( is it Xplane 11?
  20. With regards to blueish stuff - try different sky textures. I think you use native ASCA ones which are simply horrible
  21. Stefan: I would start from going to troubleshooting section on main page of this preset and applying all fixes listed there (all 5 which are on screenshots). It somehow helped me.
  22. i think it was always the same argument for Concorde And somehow still I don't know how FSL 320 is more complex than PMDG triple 7. Guess it's topic for another discussion. Is it more complex than any other Airbus on the market? For sure!
