    I had no problems to go from rolling cache 8GB to 32GB to 0GB to 8GB again. I stick with the default 8GB, works nicely and I do not like the long times windows needs to process larger files. For my home town and New York I created a manual cache for testing. But I do not feel the need to create a manual cache for any of my other flights. 8GB rolling cache are just fine.

    3600X, 1080Ti, 16 GB RAM 3200, 2x NVME, ASROCK B450 Pro4, 30 FPS 4K Ultra I am very happy with my system and would not change a thing for now. I am not ready to drop 1500 bucks for a 3090 to make sure I can run volumetric clouds ultra at all places on the world. I just drop the clouds slider or change the weather setting if I want a boost on one of my flights.

    You need to set the rpm with the prop rpm handle, only increasing throttle will not give you full power.

    Best graphics ever, good ATC, beautiful landmarks in my home town and world wide in the base game, stable 30 FPS in 4k Ultra, perfectly working controls (VKB GF MK3, Thrustmaster rudder, Saitek Throttle perfectly playing together) The tweaking was well worth it 🙂

    I have a 1080Ti and I keep it at 2x. Playing at 4k Ultra 30 FPS I want to keep the 2 FPS the 16x setting would cost me. So if it works out for you fine, but there is a cost to 16x Anisotropic. Usually I use 4x or 8x in other sims.

    Turn off MSI Afterburner and other background programs and check if it still crashes. No problem here with 16GB & 747 & Paris.

    And leaves some files on your hd in a dubious state? I think it cleans up the temp file structure during the minutes long closing time if you use no rolling cache.

    When I quit MSFS with rolling cache enabled the program shuts down immediatly. When I quit MSFS with rolling cache disabled it can take several minutes to shut down. Do you experience the same? I have the best experience with the 8GB default rolling cache.

    Does it also stutter in single screen for you? If not you could experiment with render scale, texture size and overclocking the 2080.

    I use the money you used for your 32 GB for my 3090 🙂 By the way Ultra 4k uses 12 GB on my system.

    1000 series users tend to go for settings that work for them 2000 series users tend to be entitled to go for max settings regardless of circumstances 3600x & 1080ti Just flew from Haifa to Beirut at 4k. Mindblowing. Could not decide what is the better experience: DCS Syria in VR or MSFS in 4k. Actually I enjoy both tremendously even if I do not reach 60 FPS in both settings 🙂
