My bad! Misunderstood your post. Strange - it seems to work fine for me. -

The CRJ doesn’t have auto throttle… speed mode manages pitch in order to maintain the airspeed you want with the throttle setting you have. It’s likely working entirely as intended. -
I’m not hating on either and have never tried the 737, but yes, you definitely can do this lol

Lol my post had absolutely nothing to do with the VATSIM vs single player ATC debate. It had everything to do with the VATSIM vs POSCON debate. VATSIM has hundreds of pilots and some ATC covering a large part of the US midday on a Saturday. POSCON has 15 pilots and no ATC. And it’s not at all a waste of time. If you care at all about developing real ATC communications skills, VATSIM (or PilotEdge) is the way to go. I went into flight lessons having become proficient on VATSIM, and I impressed my instructors by knowing exactly what to say and handling radios from day 1 (which is something that doesn’t normally happen until you get close to your first solo. Flying during VATSIM events is as real as it gets in terms of ATC coverage and density. Hundreds of airplanes flying into an airport, and a full stack of controllers.

No way this is true.. really? Last week I checked out the POSCON map and it had like 8 pilots online while VATSIM had 600. I’m down to give it a shot & I’ve been excited at the prospect of this network existing for a while, but it’s less appealing when nobody else is using it. That’s the issue - nobody wants to switch unless everyone switches lol 🙂 If it gains some traction in coming weeks I’ll try it out! To be fair to VATSIM, they recently updated their voice server and it works much better now with no latency.

Wow I saw it! So cool 🙂 Can’t wait for what this means for the sim…

CRJ Update Question
FlyingInACessna replied to Zimmerbz's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Check this list out and try some of these other things out: https://www.aerosoft.com/en/flight-simulation/news/msfs-dlc-aerosoft-aircraft-crj-550/700-update If it's clear that none work, then try restarting the sim and see if there is an update? -
CRJ Update Question
FlyingInACessna replied to Zimmerbz's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Open the tablet and try clicking buttons. See if there is a click response that tells you obviously that your click was received. The old version wouldn't give any indication when a button was clicked (ie the button wouldn't change colors etc.) but it should now. -
Numpad useful for MSFS
FlyingInACessna replied to 737_800's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I would 100% get a num pad keyboard. I reassigned my custom views 0-9 to the num pad keys just like X-Plane uses, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Super easy to switch views. -
Yep, I have. That’s been in the Feedback Snapshot since mid-January. It just means FBW is in communication with the team at Asobo and has the ability to gain access to beta releases as a third party partner. They aren’t working directly with Asobo like Working Title is, nor are they employed by Asobo or releasing anything into the sim with the MS team. They are a separate third-party entity. I do think it’d be cool if they were to release an airplane in the base sim, but that’s not what’s happening. Either way, I’m extremely excited for their finalized autopilot / VNAV system for the A320, as well as the A380 that’s in progress!

I think it’s a joke aimed at people who keep complaining about sim bugs & call us all “beta testers for Asobo”.
