I know you think it’s not a nav database issue, but have you *tried* it with Navigraph to see if that’s the case? I’ve seen several instances where arrivals and approaches were missing a few waypoints but were fixed with Navigraph. This doesn’t sound like a logic error that they could create themselves. Did you try this with the default versions of the airplane? If the same thing happens it’s likely a sim database issue...

photogrammetry? ON or Off?
FlyingInACessna replied to Manny's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Photogrammetry is generally great except for where it borders airports (often weird trees picked up as buildings). Looks way better from about 1000 ft+. Autogen models look better on the ground. The realism with photogrammetry is incredible though. Real buildings, parks, fields, landscapes, cities etc. -

WT G3000 version v.4
FlyingInACessna replied to Mikeingreen's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Update looks awesome with the weather radar / split screen, but I had several buggy issues with it when I used it the other day. Entering a direct to fix that was in my flight plan already caused the system to crash / get stuck on the direct to screen (luckily the second screen still functioned correctly), and the autopilot wouldn’t engage glide slope mode on the RNAV approach I flew even though the diamond was there. Try it if you want - awesome work - but be aware that you might encounter some bugs as it really is a beta! -
Not really no. Don’t think there’s a way to add in objects (at least stock ones) with it. But it’s super easy to build the project in ADE and open it in MSFS’s scenery editor via the SDK. MSFS has a ton of stock objects you can search from.

It’s actually not bad at all to open a project in ADE and then import into MSFS to make modifications.

ADE Alpha was just released a week ago! 🙂 Check the FSDeveloper forum.

If I have time this week I’ll use ADE to edit the default so you at least have accurate taxiway names / markings etc.

I’m assuming you’re talking about supporting VNAV. The default planes have poorly-working versions of VNAV. The best we have right now is the CJ4 mod by Working Title - they created their own original autopilot system with fully-functioning VNAV on descent. https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages

A PMDG 737 or 777 will make this simulator while for a lot of us!

The FBW is incredible too. Only thing that bugs me right now is (1) VNAV path descents aren’t implemented yet, and (2) speed crossing restrictions on descent aren’t enabled. But the sheer number of features they’ve added is incredible. Also hoping packs become usable soon as well as the rest of the systems that aren’t modeled. Both of these teams have done incredible work. They make the sim usable for us hardcore simmers that like to fly study-level planes.

Anyone know if this breaks the WorkingTitle G1000 / G3000 mods? -
FlyByWire A32NX 0.5.0 Stable Released!
FlyingInACessna replied to IcemanFBW's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
This plane has a modified flight model, so it’d be unfair to allow people to use it in landing challenges as it could give you an advantage. -
Was just going to say... that GUI needs work. Fake glare button designs are very much early 2000s. Colors don’t really agree. Display is way too big. Give it a clean color coat and a modern interface and it looks like it would be a very nice program 🙂 Although Asobo is going to be implementing this soon (in the prototype phase) so I’ll probably hold off on this.

Catalina Airport, KAVX
FlyingInACessna replied to CFIJose's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Any updates on this? I saw that freeware KCRQ and it looks like the runway precision markings are missing too on the 24 side.. pavement also looks a little strange. -
Been back in P3D lately?
FlyingInACessna replied to Noel's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
From what I remember, P3D doesn’t update nav data for you and you need a provider like Navigraph. Navigraph has nav data for MSFS too, so not sure what you’re getting at. -
FlyByWire A32NX 0.5.0 Stable Released!

Custom FBW, not custom autopilot, right? Or does this include the new autopilot system as well? -
Who are the Fly By Wire Team?
FlyingInACessna replied to jlund's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Well I mean Zibo didn’t create the 737 model in XP. He simply modified the systems (and minor cockpit modeling) with assistance from real 737 pilots. But it would be incredible if this could happen! @FBW Team if you’re reading this, maybe make a 737 before your A380 ;);) -
