  1. Orbx Landclass now in FSW...YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FSW compiled the landclass...and as Jackie Gleason used to say; ........................"oh...how sweet it is"! FSW is getting like a comfy and favorite chair...it keeps ROCKING, right there by the Fall fire.....acorns, pine-cones n' all! Now going to add Europe OLC.... "and away, we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Cheers,
  2. The lighting and ground textures / autogen still need some work, but flying above and below these clouds is really fun.
  3. Having some fun with the DA42 Twin Star.
  4. Getting some pretty stunning sunsets!!
  5. The first payware add-on for FSW is available now: FS-Flightcontrol gives you control over every aspect of your flight and includes a moving map too, visit the homepage here: https://www.fs-flightcontrol.com/en/ FS-Flightcontrol also works with FSX, FSX:SE, X-Plane and that submarine simulator I mean P3D, so it's got to be great value... You can select which sim you want to use it with on launch, it then loads the scenery.cfg for that sim on first run: Then specify your start location and any other factors you require: There's a free 14-day trial, it's a 58mb download which took about 20 seconds on my PC, give it a try!
  6. Can we please get a Mission Editor sticky or dedicated forum for the FSW Mission Editor? Thanks!
  7. The bar that DTG has set for default GA aircraft in Flight Sim World, albiet some minor issues, is set pretty high.. When they release the new biz jet they are talking about, I'm just curious how it will be. Can't wait to see it...
  8. Was checking out the update to FSW today and snapped this one of the JF Arrow
  9. I've converted and repackaged (with his permission) Jamrom23T's excellent 70s themed repaints for the Justflight Piper Arrow III aircraft. You can find them in the FSW repaint download section here at https://library.avsim.net/index.php?CatID=fswrep
  10. Flight Sim World currently has a March Madness sale going on with FSW 68% off and almost all DLC on sale too. http://store.steampowered.com/app/389280/Flight_Sim_World/
  11. Pretty with FTX...a flight from Shoreham to Blackbrushe Wondering whats coming from Orbx for FSW...I know, all the new releases are coming to Aerofly2 and X-Plane 11. I appreciate you looking at this pictorial, please feel free to comment...

  13. I've had a bit of free time this week due to certain world events you're all familiar with... Uploading these to the Avsim library some time tomorrow, hopefully! N77NJ - operated by National Jet out of FLL I started playing with the metallic layer that @Wickedbacon92 developed. N354CL - With Clay Lacy Aviation...maybe one of the most famous Learjet operators out there. The gold stripe and N-numbers are metallic on this one as well. If this scheme looks familiar, it's probably because you've seen Jeff Trozzo's repaint paint of the same aircraft from a few years ago. But he never updated it for the new model, so I made my own version (all original work). N360AY N104PH - my favorite of this bunch.
  14. As you can see, Landclass files are badly needed within FSW, (just as required for FSX and P3D!!!) and once installed...everything looks like any other ESP-based with ORBX Global and OLC Landclass installed. ORBX (Hack) OLC_Europe and Pilot's FSX2010 Global (Hack) Custom Mesh running in theses screen grabs: Here is just out of ENVA, Norway...
  15. Gawd, this sim has 'Soul'! The night flight between KORS and Abbotsford, was so incredible...and the screen grabs do not due the actual upon-the-screen any sort of justice! I have stated many times since purchasing and installing, that this sim is so different from my FSX:SE, XP11, P3D v3.4...it has such depth of atmospheric 'feel'...you feel..that you flying through, and over the environment...especially at night. They have KILLED this..and not even RTM! The terrain, the lighting engine, the MOON...casting across the ocean...gawd...this is such a piece of work. I can't stop flying the dang thing...wow, wow, wow... The images don't have 30 percent of the depth and clarity of the real on-screen image..but whatever they are...just wanted to share this fabulous night operation experience..: To get some detail up...left click once upon each image, and then left click once more...then some details shows...
  16. All of these except for the first one are pics from a flight I took yesterday with the Grey and Rainy theme from KMRY to KSTS. I thought the clouds looked really good. just about all of it did really... Its an amazing thing when the Orbx ground scenery is the most detracting part
  17. My First Flight in FSW...a few quickies for you (if interested)? I appreciate you looking at this pictorial, please feel free to comment...
  18. I'm going to place this inquiry here because it is the platform I use. Notwithstanding, the issue may be globally encumbering to pairing Flight simming platforms. (Note, I've also posted this in LM forum) "SKY TEXTURES". I'm curious as to how many of us have invested and use ENVTEX or REX Sky Textures. Bear with me. Lately, I've notice some interesting effects on performance with these enhancement textures(programs). In particular, spikes in CPU usage when certain sky textures package are in use. Today, as I write this, I'm experiencing 100% CPU usage and blurry textures despite making any adjustment to the UI settings within P3Dv4.1 (specs: I7 4790K, oc to 4.6 voltage at 1.260- GTX 1080). Using Envtex/ENVDIR with sky setting of "Random" I flew out of FSDT KMEM for AS EDDF. I've experience long texture loading times as I switch views and the CPU spikes and ultimately flat-lines at 100%. On this flight, under the random ENVTEX setting, i'm seeing a sky set for the first time (in all my flights using ENVTEX/EVNDIR). Oddly, and to the point, as I continue my track east with the sun setting on my tail and blackness befalls, the CPU usage dropped dramatically to 65% usage. Thus suggesting that the sky, now black, no long contain textures that may induce high CPU usage. Now, I love ENVTEX/ENVDIR and by no means am I pulling down the application. ENVTEX/ENVDIR is not the only time I've witness this. I had an identical challenge with REX4 which was then resolved by earlier versions of ENVTEX or and the Free Sky Texture Packages. So I'm putting this out there for us to investigate and mitigate the potential threatening sources(s) so we can get back to flight. Share you thoughts and experience thank you Keino333/usaboy
  19. .... A few more screenshots, taking into account the latest FSW Update 13. Changes have been made to the PBR based lighting and the TrueSky weather engine. ...whilst the Dovetail development team are progressing really well, It is just my own opinion, but I feel Reshade is still needed to enhance the overall look of the Sim. An updated Reshade Preset is available here to take into account the recent changes made by Dovetail. Just in case you like what you are seeing LOL !! http://www.mediafire.com/file/co11i88ses6dsir/FSW1.ini Regards, Pete Beeby.
  20. I really wanted to believe that FSW was not going to be another Train Simulator. I did, until today. If FSW is still in Early Access, that means it's not complete. If it's not complete, you would generally have the entire development team working to finish the development process. If you are producing and selling DLC, then you are no longer in the Early Access stage. No, I will not accept some excuse about developing DLC alongside the title, the title is not complete. No, I will not support this terrible business model, and no, I will no longer support FSW or Dovetail Games. My positive review on Steam has been edited and changed to a Not Recommended along with an exact explanation why. No, just no.
