  1. Hi, I have an issue. Today I received my USB RC adapter for R/C transmitters, and I thought to use it for P3D(A bit epic ), I entered the PPM calibration in "control panel", and when I tried to calibrate, it did recognize my axis, but each axis display a different role, for example, the Z axis is for the "throttle" , and instead of that, when I play with the axis, it controls the buttons of my transmitter in a strage way... Maybe can it be due to low battery of the transmitter? I hope I can get the answer here. Thanks
  2. I have recently bought a Saitek X52. The variety of controls is amazing. One of the control wheels, what I call the E control wheel, is set to Elevator Trim. It makes it easier to set trim for takeoff, but when I set the autopilot and altitude hold, the plane continues to pitch up. I check on the elevator trim and it is stuck at 5 degrees. Anyone know how to fix this?
  3. Hello MS-Flight airmen and devs, We are busy preparing FaceTrackNoIR for MS-Flight and would like some more info on how to translate joystick axis to in-game camera-movement. From some info on the WWW and through 'trial and error' I have managed to get most axis working. However, to achieve this I have to edit the standard.xml file and to safeguard that I have made it read-only. But that's not really user-friendly, is it? So these are my settings: <Axis> <AxName>XAxis</AxName> #XAxis means X axis <Index>0</Index> <EventName>EYEPOINT_SET_LATERAL</EventName> #x movement, so u can lean out of plane <AxScale>1.000000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.000000</AxNull> </Axis> <Axis> <AxName>YAxis</AxName> <Index>1</Index> <EventName>EYEPOINT_SET_VERTICAL</EventName> <AxScale>1.000000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.005000</AxNull> </Axis> <Axis> <AxName>RxAxis</AxName> <Index>3</Index> # Index 3 = X-rotation <EventName>AXIS_PAN_PITCH</EventName> <AxScale>1.200000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.000000</AxNull> </Axis> <Axis> <AxName>RyAxis</AxName> <Index>4</Index> <EventName>AXIS_PAN_HEADING</EventName> <AxScale>1.200000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.000000</AxNull> </Axis> <Axis> <AxName>RzAxis</AxName> <Index>5</Index> <EventName>AXIS_PAN_TILT</EventName> <AxScale>1.200000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.000000</AxNull> </Axis> Is there any way of configuring these settings through the GUI of MS-Flight? Any info is appreciated! :p0502: Wim
  4. Hi, I recently acquired the x-55 and it works really great, however I do have some minor problems. One of them being rather annoying. I would like to use the speedbrake slider on the x-55 throttle to.... use the speedbrake in game ... who would have thought! In the P3D Axis settings menu I try to slide the Speed Brake Slider (SBL), however P3D seems unable to recognize it as a valid Axis. I tried the exact same thing in FSX and there it is automatically recognized as a valid speedbrake axis. Does anyone else have the same problem, or even better a solution? Thanks in advance! Mark
  5. Hi to all, I'd like to assign steering tiller to my Logitech G13 minijoystick. The problem is that this minijoy is not so precise like a normal joystick and I'm trying to fine tuming it via FSUIPC, but I'm not quite expert. I want to assign X axis to steering tiller and Y axis to brakes (L and R) on my G13. The problem is that this minijoystick tends to override my FLY5 axes, so I have to correct with my rudder (when I release tiller with G13), and if I brakes with G13 (Y axis) it works fine, smooth brakes, but then brakes are always applied, even i increase throttle. Does anyone have some tips on how to fine tuning with FSUIPC to solve this issue or any suggestion to manage tiller and brakes? I also own another old joystick, a MS sidewinder 2, maybe could help? Thanks to all in advace
  6. Hi, I got a real perplexing problem with the axis on FS 2004.This has nver happened before. The flight yoke shows up in FS and can be calibrated .The buttons work but not the x,y and slider axis. I have reinstalled the game used a different joystick pressed ctrl+shift to re- write the cfg file. The flight yoke works in Fly and X plane .I have reinstalled the USB drivers and flight yoke drivers. My joystick is a Sidewinder that uses the com port but its still not working. I have 2 back up hard drives with FS installed .I booted these and get same result. The FS. cfg file looks like this [JOYSTICK_MAIN {55CAA1E0-5037-11DE-8001-444553540000}] AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_ELEVATOR_SET AXIS_SCALE_00=64 AXIS_NULL_00=36 AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_AILERONS_SET AXIS_SCALE_01=64 AXIS_NULL_01=36 AXIS_EVENT_06=AXIS_THROTTLE_SET AXIS_SCALE_06=127 AXIS_NULL_06=1 [JOYSTICK_SLEW {55CAA1E0-5037-11DE-8001-444553540000}] AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_SLEW_SIDEWAYS_SET AXIS_SCALE_00=64 AXIS_NULL_00=36 AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_SLEW_AHEAD_SET AXIS_SCALE_01=64 AXIS_NULL_01=36 I have genuine FS9 disks .I tried to register again but the web site no longer exists. I begin to wonder is this Microsoft piracy prevention. My system is XP updated SP2,3 and I have an Nvidia Gforce card. Direct x 10c tested and says no problems. Any help appreciated had the game for 8 years now. Atkin.
