OK, so this happens with my brand new CS 767 and also on trying to run the 4.6 upgrade for my CS 757 (which was already installed, I removed it to fault-find and it now won't install back in at all). Essentially, I run the installer and it goes through the activation point to the point where you can select the directory and can press "install." Except, the install button is gray, non-clickable and if I try and change the directory it still remains gray.I have reinstalled FSX with Acceleration. I have run the free FSX registry tool from Flight1. I have used CCleaner to clean out any reference of captainsim to try and allow a fresh install to occur. Stumped, I then searched Google and found nothing on this issue except a thread at sim-outhouse that stated that someone over at the REX forums had found a fix. FUrther research showed that REX changed forum software since then and the thread is at the bottom of the internet ocean. So, moving towards asking CS for help, I then searched Captainsim's knowledgebase to make sure I wasn't burdening them unnecessarily and I found a vague article that tells me I must not have enough HDD space to install, or to try a complete FSX reinstall. Having over 300GB of free space, I knew it wasn't that so I did a reinstall. So after doing everything it says to do and with the issue still occurring, I open a support ticket with CS and they reply after 2 days with a cookie cutter answer to go and check the knowledgebase article I'd already found (and had stated in the ticket that I had followed it already and the issue still occurred). Now they essentially refuse to help, but of course they gladly took my money. I could get a refund, but what's the point in that? I want this aircraft that I've paid for to work like the PMDG, IRIS, Aerosoft, ORBX, and many other addons I have paid good money for. So if anyone knows what might be the cause, or can remember the fix on the REX forum, I certainly appreciate any help you have to offer.

I read the read me files and installed all the .msi files as instructed. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest version then reinstalled my FSX SE but I still can't get it to work. It is very frustrating as I am a 777 captain and I like to practice a few NPAs on a computer before I do my recurrent sim. On a separate note I muched preferred the old 2D panels as they are easier to manage while practising approaches. Overall is quite realistic but I think the 3D cockpit and difficulty installing it are huge barriers to its potential.

I've been learning something new each day about this impressive aircraft. I however, cannot get the weather radar to work. Is there a switch, button, or knob that needs to be adjusted?

Just recently started having a problem with the pop-up window of the RXP GNS 430/530. For some reason, it's completely blank/see through when using the pop-up window. Also, the RXP mounted in the panel is black and won't turn on. I don't believe this is an RXP problem because it happens with the SimFlyer KLN 94 pop-up as well that I've installed in some aircraft. And when using any Carenado airplanes that use the G500, the PFD softkeys are unresponsive. It was working fine a few weeks ago and I've installed a number of add-on's since so it's not easy figuring out what caused it. Is there a known issue with pop-ups that I don't know about and how can I fix this?

I finally took the plunge and upgraded my system from the AMD 965 Black Edition to the new Ivy Bridge i7-3770K with some GSkill TridentX Ram (2666!!) and the Sabertooth MB w/Z77 chipset. I did a fresh format of my FSX SSD and my System SSD. I have not done any overclocking .... yet !!! I have just reinstalled FSX, and of course my first add-on was the NGX. I haven't done any FSX tweaks, and just for kicks, I loaded up the NGX at my home base. It loaded fast as hell, but the visuals were horrific. All I can say is I really must have had the other install really dialed in. I just realized the scope of the work ahead of me (and this is after two and a half days of building a new computer, etc.). The hardest part of all this is trying to decide which steps to do in what order. Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted. P.S. For Zach ... you were right ... AMD is Cr*p P.S.S. I am getting some pmdg.dll app crashes AFTER exiting. I guess that'll all come out in the wash. I have a lot of forum searching to do. ugh!

Harvey Wilson I am very new to PMDG and P3D. I have P3D and Microsoft FSX Steam. I recently installed P3D v3 and I wanted a 737, so I bought the PMDG 737. I've installed the PMDG 737 but it automatically goes to the FSX steam folder, so I manually have to moved the plane and it 'gauges' to the P3D folder, and the relevant files in SimObjects to make it work in P3D. The plane is working fine, but when I went on YouTube to try and look to follow some tutorials on how to get started, everything was fine until I got to the point of using the electronic setup panel. Normally when you click it then PMDG Setup, there are options like Long, Short, Default, but for me I don't see anything. How do you fix this, please help?

Hello, The EADI and navigation displays don't display any information, for example, on the speed bar, compass and vertical speed indicator, on my J41. They are on as I can see the artificial horizon and compass etc, however no data is displayed. I'd be very grateful if someone could provide a solution, Thank you
