  1. Chino Planes of Fame is just five miles from my home. I love seeing these classic warbirds fly around near my home. I love the smell of aviation fuel, oil and hydraulic fluids. Call me weird but I just do. As a former KC-135 crew chief, I just can't get over the sight, sounds and smell of military aviation. It would be very cool to do this kind of flying, airshow style, in MS Flight. These planes have no working weapons, they are there to show the crowd, the pure joy and excitement of these classic warbirds. For me MS Flight, with it's warbird add-ons, even cockpit-less, are fun and exciting. That's why I'm not going to complain about it. I think it's rather pointless to complain, because 1) I don't feel a sense of entitlement, 2) gaming and simulators and computer for that matter are a technology blessing (something, I think people take for granted nowadays). It's why I like making videos like this: Because it is just fun! I love it for it's escapism. But that's just my opinion. I hope to, or at least try to, push and prod people not to diss MS Flight so soon or so much. I believe there is a good game plan going on with MS Flight. I honestly believe that there will be some great flying in Alaska with some great planes, but it takes time to create those planes. I believe the warbirds had already been made, I doubt they were just made a few weeks ago or even a month ago, but were always intended to be released for the giant majority of gamers who have never ventured into a simulator before. MS Flight's walk into the world of gaming is a breath of fresh air, I believe. A new endeavor to expand flight simulation beyond the tiny spotlight usually aimed at the small niche group of us simulator fans (and I do believe that flight simulation is puny compared to the overall world of gaming) Happing flying!

Small trips from one airfield to another or perhaps something more adventurous like a mountain crossing or formation flying. Let me know if you are interested I will be waiting. Regards, Flyboy1978

  6. Hey, Everyone speculates LM releases a new P3D update when Pete Dowson plans his holiday. I am sure the LM Team and Pete sync this up to be some type of inside joke. I can only speculate. My guess is Feb or March and we should see 4.2. I believe they are on a 5-6 month release cycle. Hit the polls. The prize is "bragging rights" when LM releases it and you predicated correctly on this thread. Lets have fun.
  7. A few weeks ago I reported the launching of a new VA, virtual Air Logistics. vAL is a different kind of virtual airline for a different kind of virtual pilot. I’m happy to report that we are growing at a healthy pace and have partnered with a great group of freeware scenery designers. More about this in a minute. Why vAL? vAL offers the virtual pilot a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We fully understand that many things in life come before our hobbies. We never expect you to put your virtual aviation career ahead of family, work, school and other life commitments. We offer schedules ranging from just 30 minutes of flying time up to 1-2 hours. Our goal at vAL is to start small and grow based on the number of members and overall flight activity. Currently we have pilot bases in Colorado and Alaska and pilots can fly from either as they desire. Our flight schedules offer the virtual pilot a wide range of prop driven aircraft including the Piper Cub J3, DHC-2 Beaver (all variants), C185 (all variants), the C208 and for those wanting a little more power, we offer many routes on the Beech 1900D. vAL offers some fantastic bush flying throughout the Alaska, British Columbia and Yukon region with new routes and destinations added each week. Finally, with our brand new partnership with Return to Misty Moorings, vAL offers an opportunity for virtual pilots to really get a sense of what bush flying is all about and strengthens our “No Runway Too Short, No Airfield Too Remote” philosophy. Return to Misty Moorings is a freeware scenery site offering additional sceneries, missions and much more for the Orbx/FTX regions in the Pacific Northwest. virtual Air Logistics, a different kind of virtual airline for a different kind of virtual pilot. Thank you for your time. Jerry
  8. So I discovered a couple fun things to do in Hawaii: First one is finding all the VOR stations...I've found a couple so far, and it's pretty fun searching for them. Not too hard to do, but hey...The second thing I do is cliff diving- as in find a cliff and park at the top, then slowly inch you way over and kill the engine. I've actually been able to pull back up with the engine off from the speed you get. The Third and final thing I do alot is looking for landmarks...particularly scenes from movies or weird and unusual things...I've also noticed several observatories throughout Hawaii. Anyways, some things that keep me occupied waiting for Alaska. Have fun!
  9. Hey guys!,Just wanted to post links to my new microsoft flight videos. Just tried out the game and found some things very unrealistic compared to fsx, therefore i decided to fraps abit and cut together a short video. Those videos are just for fun so no offense to the people who enjoy microsoft flight ;)
