I've been so out of touch lately on the forums, I did not know it had been posted enough for a large number of people to see it. I too would like to see it for FS9.

Does anyone know if those screenshots are from FSX or FS9 ? I can understand the effort if the airplane is designed specifically for FSX because I don't think FSX has a default Mooney. After the recent release of Acceleration with SP2 some dual sim aircraft have troubles in FSX. It only seems FSX designed aircraft are working after the installation of Acceleration into FSX.I will remain a solid FS9 user/addon buyer until IF and WHEN FSX can get their act together that doesn't take daily tweaking and a $2000 upgrade for equipment.I am somewhat disappointed because I and several others were hoping for a Cessna 185 as their next release for FS9. FS9 users are the only ones right now that are happy when buying flight sim addons. From the screenshots the Mooney is certainly done to Carenado's highest standards for quality.I just don't know where to place the Mooney in priority on my "to buy list".

"I WILL be buying this sucker. We have needed a great 3rd party Mooney forever. How excellent."The screenshots show Carenado's usual attention to detail. I wonder how they've managed to retain such talent over the years? I've found their work consistently superb and miraculous in its performance on my old p3/800. Been waiting for something like the Mooney for a long time too.John

Then again a properly done Seneca would be sweet.

It's about time they release it. They said last week in a few days...well it's a week later and I want to fly a fast, good looking Mooney :)Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"

Carenado does such fine work - specifically their VC's and exterior models I just wish they would tackle something bigger like a B1900 or similar. I like the PMDG one but it doesn't have enough systems to make it that immersive.Adam

"It's about time they release it. They said last week in a few days...well it's a week later and I want to fly a fast, good looking Mooney"The screenshots of the panel seem to show the default MSFS radios and autopilot. That would make me think they still have some final development or things weren't quite ready yet. But past history leads me to think the preview period will be very short. Carenado usually releases there products within a week or two of their previews.Regards,John

From what I have been able to figure out this is a Mooney M20J from 1985. It looks like it has speed brakes, and thats the first model with those and still using the ugly square side windows. They moved to rounded windows in 1987.Engine used is the Lycoming I0-360-A3B6D with 200hp, which is a normal aspirated engine. Not to sound ungrateful, and this is probably the only Mooney they have had access to. But I had hoped for a later version without the square windows and a turbocharged engine. I am sure a lot of people will enjoy this one, but I'll continue using the default one. The square windows just puts me off, and no turbo...eh...I fly Mooney for the speed and ability to get above weather.Just my opinion and some info for those interested.
