Hello guys,I must say I am not that impressed.I've installed the demo and I immediately found a lot of detail mistakes. The ground photo is blurry. I've tried to fix it reading through their solutions but it didn't return successful. The overall impression on the other hand is very good, but I won't spend 28

>Chuck,>>you probably have Flytampa's Chicago Midway installed? >>Look here:>>http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=770.0>>Regards,>JureHi, Jure. Yes, FlyTampa's KMDW was the very first payware scenery I ever bought and I still use and love it. Do you think if I remove that file that it will adversely affect the FlyTampa scenery? Will I still be able to enjoy that fine scenery with it's challenging appraoches? That would suck. Thanks, my friend.

IMHO, KJFK is great. I had to go into all 3 AFCADS and adjust the ILS on several runways so that they were either properly aligned or further out so that I'm (and hopefully my AI) not directed to land on the grass 100 feet in front of the threshold. :-) We'll see how that goes in just a few minutes. On approach to LSZH right now.

Hi,I renamed the kord_tweak.bgl to kord_tweak.bak. I then reinstalled KORD over the previous version. That got rid of two problems I was having:1. Two sets of airport scenery (one on top of the other).2. AI aircraft were now parked at the gates correctly.Hope this helps

Chuck,as far as I can tell, there are no problems with Flytampa's Chicago Midway after disabling that file, at least not visually. I am too busy flying the new trio of airports to try a flight to/from Midway. When you were approaching LSZH, I was landing at KORD and now I am on my way back across the pond - yes, to LSZH! :)Fiends indeed, LOL! We need more like them. :)Jure

Well I tried the demo and it's not for me! I have their LSZH which is brilliant and I've just updated it. With that I get frame rates from mid-teens upwards, which is fine for me but with JFK I struggle to get out of single figures, even with traffic down at 40%.I don't really understand this as with FlyTampa's Vienna (a highly detailed airport) my frame rates are as good as at LSZH (good for my system I mean!)My PC spec - Gigabyte K8 Triton mobo with AMD Athlon64 3000+, 2GB of PC3200 DDR RAM and a Geforce 7900GS 256MB for graphics - AGP.Iain Smith

What's not to understand? The airport is in the New York area which is extremely busy with 3 major airports in close vicinity. Add to that the 3D Objects for Manhattan and you have a combination that will slow down performance noticeably.

With all sliders full right and AI at 90% I'm still in the low 20s, but I have a pretty powerful rig, so YMMV. It's still not as slippery as FlyTampa's newer stuff (Kai Tak is simply unbelievable) but it's still a very cool scenery for KJFK and area. Very cool. By the way, does anybody else suspect that the guys over at FlyTampa are in league with the devil, trading their souls for detailed scernery skills with high frame rates? :-lol

I don't have a particularly powerful computer but I do get around 15-20 fps on the ground at KJFK. This might not sound that impressive but then again I have I'd say about 130-140 airplanes on the ground and an amazing amount in the sky, so considering that I'm impressed.

Same here. FPS might not be all that high but it's smooth nonetheless. My old FX57 is doing a great job. And watching all those AI landing on various runways is terrific. I can't resist but run my AI at 100%. :)Chuck, I suspect you are right. Add FS Dreamteam to your suspicions as well. :D Regards,Jure

...or maybe these guys are uh.....not from around here if you know what I mean :-spacecraftregards,Mark

>What's not to understand? The airport is in the New York area>which is extremely busy with 3 major airports in close>vicinity. Add to that the 3D Objects for Manhattan and you>have a combination that will slow down performance>noticeably.Whatever the reason I've reverted to the free JFK by FRF which may not be as detailed but is way better than the default and gives me framerates from high teens to mid 20s with 80% traffic so I'm not complaining. However, as a comparison and why I don't understand it, I run Visual Flight's London scenery, which is far more detailed than JFK, with London's four airports in the vicinity plus the smaller London City and I can fly low over and around London with better performance than on the ground at FSDT's JFK. I can also fly a helicopter through the Manhattan scenery with framerates in the 20s. That's "what's not to understand"! ;-)
