May 2, 200719 yr You are right. That's the right way to do it. However, there are times when patch DLL entry points is only way to do it. The addon I am working on requires warrens this method as there is no office SDK for it.

May 2, 200719 yr Interesting...When I go to Google Earth and pull up Kansas City, MO the textures seem quite detailed. This isn't at all what I was seeing in the game.Any ideas?
May 2, 200719 yr This has become the longest tread ever!I have downloaded the file. Printed and browsed the manual. Now, it appears from this massive thread that there are some errors in the .ini file that need to be corrected but this tread is so long and fractured that its very difficult to identify what needs to be correctedd. Is there something that needs to be corrected? And if so, is there a way of summarizing all the corrections? Please and thank you.Bryan 'fltsimguy' WallisDuncan, BC Canada Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
May 2, 200719 yr When you see g??gle, what do you think of? If you were to fill in the blanks, what would you put there? And remember, there are three instances that this word needs to have its blanks filled in.

May 2, 200719 yr well more experimenting and playing with the fsx.cfg file did yield some slightly better results although I'm still getting less than crisp textures as I fly over an area. After pausing the sim the textures did "catch up" and become crisp so I guess maybe my connection speed to the internet is the problem. A speed test yielded a 1.2mbps download speed for my DSL connection and I've been using the Bell helicopter and Cessna 172 for my flights...maybe if I used the Piper Cub or ultralight it would allow the textures to catch up with my forward speed.Brandon
May 2, 200719 yr I too am having spotty blurriness in my textures. Shouldnt all the textures be on the hard drive after the initial download? I will fly over an area one time and its photoreal and then do a 180 and come back and they are somewhat blurry then. I have set my lod to low and medium with similar effects. It really is amazing though and doesnt even make you want autogen at all. If you can fix the blurriness (if even possible) then this will be a huge hit. For now i dont see myself using it all that much due to the inability of the textures to maintain clarity.
May 2, 200719 yr Christian,Saw this on the main page, in the file library today, and thought to myself, "can this really be what I think it is?" Sure enough.May I just add my thanks and "wow!"s to all the others. Extraordinary. Keep having to pinch myself...hard to believe this really works. Great innovation and generosity on your part.Again, thanks.Jesse
May 2, 200719 yr Christian,If you need any help with image processing techniques to equalize the colors across images and create seasons, drop me a line. My degrees are in image processing and statistical signal processing techniques. I think I also saw that BOPrey has some really good experience too. Finally, I just want to say how amazing this software is. Thank you for this gift.Sincerely,Joshua
May 2, 200719 yr Can I call myself a geek, I'm in....I think I almost know what I did.Christian, this is terrible, its well after midnight, I have to work tomorrow and be coherent and I can't stop playing with this thing you've created.Bravo! May 2, 200719 yr Hi;First of all thanks for your works.Could you make a new version of tileproxy which is optimized for slower connections. (long response times) I think if you change timeout limit it could be allright. Because i get timeout errors mostly. I tried to make it myself but couldn't manage it.Thanks...
May 2, 200719 yr Hi just to say thanks for a great effort I got quite a kick out of flying over my own house and being able to see my front garden. Here is a refinement I have used, I have Fsx vector roads I took the uk_traffic_8888.BGL out made a new folder with a scenery folder within added it via the scenery library and now have traffic following the roads in the town correctly.Location is Ayr on the west coast of Scotland. Many thanks again for a great effort. Regards John
