If you insist...I'm letting Otto take this one down to the DA:Flaps 25:What do you suppose that red light means?Marshmallows, anyone?Nick

I don't think Nick will mind me adding a few shots; I've been mostly doing other beta testing stuff but have been into Lake Tahoe and decided to try Aspen. I almost made it... I got behind the airplane on the LOC/DME-E approach at KASE and, well, I now owe Robert the deductable.Anyway, here's the picture story:J41 on the ramp at KDEN using default scenery, the wx in this series is courtesy of FS Meteo:The long taxi from parking to Rnw 34R:Departure climb on a 210 vector to intercept the DENr251 to join the ROCKI7 DP, not the folks in the windows? As you add fannys to each row of seating on the weight and balance worksheet their faces appear in the windows:Here is AP capturing the DENr251 as we are through 13,700 climbing to FL180. There is no fancy VNAV but the AP will hold IAS for you, making climbs management easy. Put it on 170KIAS until 15000 then hold M0.35:Here we are picking up some ice in the climb, the exterior textures includes ice on everything. The pneumatic boots will cycle and kick this stuff off in no time but the prop spinner will stay frosty for awhile:Cruise at FL180 getting good numbers today in the cooler air. The EGT is usually your limit but today I am able to dial back the power to stay below MMO without too much concern for temps. The TAS is 304kts with a TAT of -10C:This is the last pretty picture I have of this trip, for everything went pretty badly for me after crossing the DBL VOR for the approach into Aspen... but for a moment everything was picture perfect, at 13000 per the chart and slowing for the first notch of flap. Note my #2VOR pointer is setup for the LOC. This is an approach for the experienced only:Well, I'll try this again real soon and hope for better results after the DBL transition to this challanging approach.. but man, it sure is fun to fly.

Does the red handle mean "Release me"? :( :( Great screenshots. Plenty of knobs, dials and switches to keep you from getting bored. Shame I've no idea what any of them do. :(On a serious note, how functional is this aircraft? I know the WX RADAR won't be there, but systems-wise, how deep is it? If I leave the cabin door open and fly, does the cabin fail to pressurize for example?Best regards,Robin.

Hi Peter,I think RSR mentioned recently that some info would be forthcoming on the radar display usage. I can't say much more about it than that. The scenery is something that I hope to share with everyone soon, but it's not ready for prime time yet. It's probably going to be a payware thing to be honest with you. Come to think of it, if anyone knows if posting pics of it violate the forum rules, let me know, and I'll take them down.Nick
