L-39 out!

Featured Replies

I made a review of the aircraft with a ton of pics. Well turns out even though the pics were hosted externally avsim won't let you post to many. Also you cannot cut and paste, or atleast I can't from a post you are writing. So the I was only able to save it via the source. Does anyone know how to convert HTML to a post in another forum or is there a way I can convert it from HTML to text and host it for free. Kina stuck what to do. If you can help me decipher the HTML also into a doc or text file with pics that would be cool to. PM me if you know how to help much appreciated!

Bob, read thru the post I just made...maybe it will clarify things a bit. :(
Ron, I read the post, but your comment stills gives me the same impression. :(RegardsBob

It's a beautiful product, really. However, there are aspects of the model that would bring most systems to their knees in an aircraft that requires a lot of CRT-type display. There's always a trade off... funny how we all wanna forget that. :(

Mad DogWe've answered this issue many times. To date we've had about six requests for that feature.
But I heard you only have seven customers these days :( But let's ignore Mr 'I coulda been a contender' in the corner and get back on topic. This is a truly remarkable addon which has personally brought back much joy to a dying hobby after years of lazy addons by complacent developers. I suddenly feel that it all makes sense after struggling with compromises and tweaks and patches and scouring forums like this for answers - this L-39 looks flawless and performs perfectly right out of the box. I would quite happily trade all of my previously wasted dollars on this one aircraft and just have FSX as an L-39 Simulator. If you haven't taken the plunge yet, then I implore you to get it and see for yourself how it should be done!

And if it had four wheels it would be a car. I don't see your point :(edit - Oh I see. You work at Eaglesoft too. I wonder when Bill will turn up and tell us that the panel isn't very good :(

Bob, as always you are welcome to your impression and opinion. This is still America last time I checked :(

Mesa, flat out untrue statements do not make your candle or brain any brighter. :( I took the time to explain about the authors published background in console game development studios and his obvious expertise in modeling EFFECTS files in those same studios.I also mentioned the reasons why, absent a license to his techniques, most other developers will have to play "catchup" to accomplish what he has accomplished. Finally, I highlighted the fact that it will likely be a long time before other devs offer a few of the things he now offers simply because their backgrounds differ.Don't like our products? Simply take a pass. Don't like me personally? I'm ok with that. Please understand that insulting other developers by calling them lazy and complacent simply shows how little you know or understand about FS Development. Finally, please let it go man, you're beginning to sound as if you have a personal agenda. :(

EAGLESOFT PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH TO PM WE ARE NOT INTERESTED. You made your bed now sleep in it, there is no point back peddling now you have already put your foot in it up to your knees earlier in the thread. My first post in this thread was originally to tell you to keep out of the thread and respect your AVSIM commercial status but I thought better of it and made a comment about the L-39 instead, but your persistent drivel and disrespect for all (as usual) has led me to finally post this. The only aircraft I have sent back to Flight1 for a refund in the last 2 years has been an Eaglesoft one, it was my first Eaglesoft purchase as well and now it will most definitely be my last, you have no respect for any other developers at all and worst of all you have less respect for your customers (just view their forums and you will see what I mean) this was the other thing that prompted me to send the plane back for a refund. This will be my only post on the matter as you have already made a mess of this thread (dedicated to a truely wonderful and ground breaking product) as you have already admitted yourself, shame on you Eaglesoft.

Cheers, Andy.

Careful flight with external tanks and heading straight up to cruise alt should net you around 700-750nm. She won't be hopping many oceans, but she can do the Canada-Greenland-Iceland-UK gap.... just. :)
Now that sounds like a challenge for this weekend! :(

I'm not even sure if Eaglesoft (or any other developer) should makes comments about another developers products in these forums. Eaglesoft and LotusSim are both competing for the same flight simmers dollars and as such I would imagine a little bias would creep into such comments.I hope LotusSim is approached by the likes of PMDG and LDS to license/implement the landing light/vc rain/icing "tech" so that these features can be included in the upcoming J41/NGX and LDS 757.

I agree that I don't think this is looking to well upon Eaglesoft. Eaglesoft should say nice job, and maybe learn a thing or two from it.

Get a grip there Andy. You may want to check with HiFi Simulations and VR Insight to see how they like your remarks while flying their banner....It's only FS my man. There are far more important things in life than whether you like us personally. Sheesh. :(

We've already said nice job. And we've learned enough to make the statements we've made about the abilities of the author and the possibility of licensed technique. We did not intend to say anymore than that until the personal attacks started. Simple as that. :(

Geez, all I said was the more complex the panel the more the 3D complexity will cripple video performance. I didn't say one thing negative about this product at all. Not one thing.I love how much detail was put into the L-39. It looks amazing, it really does. So... bash me all you want... it's really beautiful... I've said so... and not said one negative thing about the product at all. Not one. Nor have I promoted Eaglesoft in my statements. Some of you are way out of line.

Yeah anyway. As we were all saying, this add-on is fantastic. For the past few years I have started FSX, flown around for ten to fifteen minutes and eventually been distracted and wondered what was on the TV. I really thought the sim was dying a slow and painful death. Last night however I started FSX and couldn't believe it when I looked up and it was over an hour and a half later. I mean - my room was dark!! I had been completely immersed in the sim to a level I have never experienced before. I have bought a lot of add-on aircraft over the years and some have been excellent, some have been insultingly bad. All of them have needed personal tweaks or official patches. This one however is perfect. I don't care if it's the last add-on aircraft ever released - I now have a reason to keep FSX on my hard drive forever! Thank you Lotus Sim for bringing a previously inconceivable sense of reality to FSX and for giving us a challenging but hugely rewarding aircraft to learn and fly :(

The difference is I'm not employed by either of those companies and I don't have commercial status at these forums either, it's also not a personal thing, my beef is with your company attitudes and ethics not with you personally. I definately agree that developers shouldn't make any comments about competitors products on these forums, this isn't the place for them, keep such comments to your own boards. And Mike I'm sorry to perpetuate this nonsense further but I just couldn't let it lye any longer, you have an amazing product and it deserves all the accolades that I'm sure it will receive in the future, I cant wait for your next project.

Cheers, Andy.
