Can owners please comment on the following:-* How are the FPS compared to other add-ons you have?* Do the gauges needles move smoothly? Like say like the RealAir SF260* Can you right click and drag to rotate knobs/rotary encoders (again like the RealAir planes)* Do the new lighting effects work in DX9 or just DX10?* Do the lights illuminate rain, ground vehicles, buildings, AI aircraft?

In my quick evaluation I can only answer these two.FPS are the same or better than default aircraft, amazing job.Gauges are smooth "realair style"Icing effects on the canopy after flying through clouds, dissapears when you lose altitude, very nice effect.
Not only the landing lights : icing effect (already available on the Flight1 Mustang), rain effect on the windshield (in FSX !!!!) and this guy is a newbie in aircraft development !These features were not supposed to be possible in FSX...Flight1, PMDG, Eaglesoft,...etc, this guy could teach you a few lessons !
I see a well done package with well done effects (FX) files contained in a very well done movie file. :(

Sure. Maybe EagleSoft will implement similar lighting, VC rain and icing effects. :(

Certainly looks very impressive. I didn't even know about this addon. CheersRhydian

For the sake of the hobby and your future sales, I wished it had inspired you more than that :(

KInd regards

This could change the way I fly at night - but I need to know if these landing lights work as per the screenshots in DX9 mode.

Yeah, had to re-download but pretty sure it was on my end... Firefox crashed at the last second. The one little niggle about activation was that the spot in the window to input your registration was broken into four sections so I couldn't just cut and paste the key from Sim-market in...This aircraft reminds me strongly of the A2A B377 in that even though I was totally uninterested in flying this aircraft type in particular before purchase I was drawn in by the depth and fidelity of the rendering of it.Well on my first flight I logged ten takeoffs and landings without resorting to speed-brakes or crashing. What hasn't been mentioned yet are the spin characteristics... **Fantastic** After the first 1-1.5 spins or so you just can't center the controls and let the plane recover itself, you have to fly it out all the way!Robert

Wow, this L-39 sets new standards in aircraft models. I can't imagine now buying anything without such realistic landing lights and other goodies shown on the movie :(

How are the navigation controls? Any autopilot with the option to hold heading and altitude? I tried grabbing the pdf from the site but its timing out for me.

Just like the real bird, there is no autopilot. But she is very easy to trim out for level flight and the range is quite limited, so you wont get tired of hand flying before you need to land for fuel :)
