October 18, 200916 yr If it's Tom's only means of business and source of income then, frankly yes. And I didn't donate here either. Wouldn't dream of it. But it does at least provide a free service which can be very useful and amusing sometimes. FSGenesis is slightly different in that you have to buy the product, much like the Cheerios you had for breakfast this morning. I wonder how you would feel if General Mills sent you an email saying that they were having a hard time continuing to produce Cheerios as not enough little girls were purchasing them so could they please have a donation so that they could keep going. It's called capitalism Vic & Rick. You'd obviously prefer to live under a different system.Again, you have an opinion. I stated mine. We don't have to agree with the other; certainly don't have to like it. But there's certainly nothing wrong with having one. Good luck in your dealings with us socialistic fascist anarchists... :( And the repeated alluding to little girls is getting just a little creepy, sir... Rick
October 19, 200916 yr I am glad to see that Justin has new product in the works. We all go through tough times now and again and I certainly wasn't offended by any of FSGenesis' overtures. Moreover, I don't see why one would want to stanch Justin's "individual right" to try to capitalize on his own reputation and past work by soliciting patronage from his customers. I would think a laissez-faire "capitalist" would understand Justin's right to pursue his happiness. The name-calling is completely uncouth - keep that dark cloud over your own head and give us a break. October 19, 200916 yr It's called capitalism Vic & Rick. You'd obviously prefer to live under a different system. That's NOT capitalism. It's called egocentrism or lack of socialisation and regarded as atavistic behaviour.
October 19, 200916 yr Previously I had said that I did really want to comment on the original post, mainly because I knew that a post such as this would inevitably end up degenerating into a name calling war, but I am surprised that a forum moderator should repost a comment that is far from hilarious and can do nothing but inflame the situation.I have said what I wanted to say in previous posts, and have answered each and every query in what I thought was a polite manner, so to have accusations of name-calling and of engaging in a flame war have confirmed my original doubts regarding posting in these forums, I will in future confine my visits to AVSIM to the PMDG support forum, and leave the children

Actually I went in to remove that pic from another poster and somehow got my wires crossed. Now it's fixed and gone, which was due to a copyright violation. Sometimes the forum system acts a little goofy. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher

I think FSG has been great value for me over the last three years and I was happy to pay and upgrade my membership even if no other new products were offered. The service really is great value for money and it doesn't hurt that I feel I may have helped Justin a little during these hard times. Things seem to be getting better for him though which is great news. October 19, 200916 yr I paid long ago for a Galaxy membership and enjoyed all the benefits of it for FS9 and FSX. But seeing he was in hard times, I decided to buy the full FSX dvd box package even though I downloaded most of them. Some may call that "communism" or "helping a complaining girl" but I call that thanking a kind person for their hard work supporting our hobby with great products. And by "some" I mean Mesa, who apparently woke up on the wrong side of the bed and doesn't know more positive ways of taking his illogical anger out
October 19, 200916 yr Some may call it stupid.I'm going to send you all an invite to my restaurant and then email you again in ten years time asking for a tip. It would be easy money by the looks of it! What is it they say about fools and money again? But hey, it's your money folks :(
October 19, 200916 yr well technically all those restaurants beg for your service with constant flyers on your cars and doors, and advertisements on tv, magazines, etc. Justin was just appealing to his customer base, if you don't like it, delete the email and go on your merry way defending the make believe capitalist system you think is threatened by such awful people

I wasn't in a position to help him when he was asking, so deleted the email. That that sure did not mean I didn't care if he survived, I do.Now....about General Motors....
