I am disappointed that there may be no NG2.0 for FS9. I for one, am still an avid FS9er and I simply can't afford to upgrade to a computer that will give me satisfactory performance in FSX with addon aircraft. All of my addon purchases in the past few months have been for FS9 (Level-D, Aerosoft Seahawk), and I will buy the FS9 version of the 744 if it will help boost FS9 sales (Hey, the price is lower :( ). I know many eye-candy features will be dropped from any FS9 version out there, however I, and I would like to think many other serious simmers, wouldn't care about that at all. I would like to see a highly realistic 737, that works like the real deal, not one that looks like the real deal. That is what sets PMDG apart from the rest of the pack: Dual platform, and the systems programming is near perfect. When there is a flash game dedicated to that wonderful feature of the Dash-8, you know PMDG is going to have to model it.http://www.dr.dk/spil/dashncrash/#simulator
My four year old computer runs FSX w/PMDG MD11/747 well with 30-40 fps. And it hasn't been updated since I built it.That being said, I've never understood the comments regarding FSX and not being able to run it well. Sure, if you want to use every add-on known to man and you want to run it maxed-out on a seven year old, bottom of the line Dell, then maybe that's true - but I find FSX quite sufficient with the sliders at 2/3rds and several add-ons with my elderly computer.FSX has been out for two years now, I think it's unrealistic to expect PMDG to continue to support both platforms, especially after I gather that sales for the FS9 MD11 were disappointing. Time to move on. I can't wait for the NGX - it's time for a quality narrowbody jet for FSX.-Mike
Who said anything about Q400s?
Will you be developing all Dash 8 series aircraft?

Erik L.

I for one hope that you will produce the NG2 for FS9. My system was built some time ago, and I am still about another 3 years away from another upgrade (Unless I win the Lottery). I am still purchasing most new FS9 products that are releast (including the new Imaginesim VHHH just last night). I own all your FS9 aircraft, and hope to be able to retire one of them within the next year with a new upgraded model.Jonathan

Well I thought I read something about the Q400 but okay maybe I got something mixed up.Lets say I hope it is the 400 you will do.

I would much prefer the "classic" Dash-8 series, actually, which, for all I know, are the other three model (100 through 300). However, I will not complain if all 4 are made, of course...

I doubt it would be a Q400... I think the increased complexity of the avionics would exclude it from the price range they're aiming for with this line.
The Dash 8 in development is a 'budget'/'Express' type product?

Whatever tier the JS4100 is in, I believe the Dash 8 is supposed to be in the same tier. -Alex

Just a quick question:will NG for FSX have 2D panels as well?I really hope so..... :( Nick

Hello Robert and all at PMDG!I want to encourage you and PMDG to keep the decision to produce the 737NG version 2 for FS 2004 as well. I'm in touch with a lot of vendors telling me that sales are still around 50 : 50 for FS X and FS 2004. You will lose almost 40 up to 50 percent of customers if you abandon the FS 2004 version of the new 737.The reason are the same since three years: The performance of FS X is (much) to low for airliners - especially in conjunction with high-res-sceneries. Most of the customers have'nt simply the ability to buy news PCs lets say every year to get possible but still unproven benefits lets say from i7 and DDR-3-RAM or so due to the high prizes. This is the situation in the "Euro-Area" where most currencies lost a lot of their value after getting the Euro. And this (business) area is not a small one.So keep the FS 2004 running - even and especially (!) for 737NG version 2. This is a vital argument for buying the upcomming product - not only in Europe but around the world. I will do my very best to help PMDG to sale as much as possible with my reviews and news... That is a promise for I really do not expect a "bad" product ;-)Thanks!Berteditor-in-chiefFS MAGAZIN www.fsmagazin.de

Nfus, it has already been said that the NG2.0 will have 2d panels. People are assuming that PMDG is making the Dash Q400 when they haven't said anything yet. Sure it's possible it could be the Q400, but it's also possible it could be one of the others or all of them. Either way, I'm looking forward to whatever Dash it may be.Chad

Robert,Thanks a lot for the update.Waiting for the NG2 FS9 release as well as for the Dash8 news.Best Regards,John
