Dear all,I'd like once to take off my "Mod" hat and to speak with all my heart and freedom.I've read these last days in various forums lots of attacks, bashing, abusing posts against developers.That really saddens me.FS is a micro-business, developers spend days and nights, despite their family life and their job to create addons and they very rarely make a single $ out of that.FS is a small community with a small sales potential, most of the paywares are pirated few days after their release and these guys keep on working for our hobby.When they release their product, they have to spend hours and hours answering to emails, questions, complains, most of them work hard to release patches or upgrades and most of them are devoted to their customers.But some of them are also disheartened and quit.I know that most of us appreciate their work and I really love our community for that.But they are here and there some spolied persons feeling that because they've paid some $, they can require all and immediatly without understanding the amount of work and devotion that is involved in producing softwares.Please, don't make our developers quit the game.Respect them, treat them like you'll treat your friends.If not, FS will become an empty shell.Some of you could rightfully claim that developers also need to respect their customers and you are right.But the big majority of them do it.I've uploaded a small slideshow with some cool music to say my gratitude to these guys who make our hobby nicer and nicer everyday.That's a very modest present to thank them for the pleasure they give me with their talent.You can download it here if you wish.Thanks for your attention and for your indulgence reading my "English" :--)))

As feisty as this forum gets from time to time it's nothing compared with the Wild West you see on some of them. I'd say the relatively mild demeanour you see among members of this forum reflects the seniority of our age group compared with others. I am often horrified by what I read on Youtube or facebook which are supposed to be family friendly.I'd like to add my respect and gratitude to those who provide for us as a father provides for his family, but I don't think the house is going to fall down if occasionally some of us forget where we left our diplomatic skills. I'm sure we can all accomodate each others differences and enjoy the vast new horizons which this mode of communication offers us.Those Wild West forums are so wild simply because this mode of relating to others is so new to us, and the rules have yet to be properly hammered out.

But I'd also like to call for a tribute to the average simmer, who has to put up with buggy and untested software, empty promises, inflated expectations, and is then being ignored by arrogant developers, insulted by support staff, and censored by forum moderators when expressing his or her frustration. It works both ways. And it's gotten worse on both ends over the years.

Forum moderaters onlys "censor" when behaviour becomes bad-and that is both from users and developers...

Good to read this positive and warm note. As a user, I'm glad developpers are there. They have my respect.

Having created two (rather small) projects and not received a single email back of thanks (Well, nobody griped either …), I can say I have some perspective of both worlds.Mainly though, I'd also like to add my "Thanks to all the Developers" who put in a lot of sacrifice of time and effort to make a contribution to the Flight Sim community. I suggest striving to give positive feedback when you use some tool or addon whether it be freeware or payware. There is always something positive to say, even if it's a simple Thanks.
