May 19, 201016 yr We'll do something cool with the EFB guys, don't worry. Not promising that it will actually simulate the real thing, but I can definitely see having the ability to display chart PDFs or something like that.sorry for the late replay but...is there no chance that you can make a deal with the guys form (for instance) navigraph to display there the EFB
May 19, 201016 yr Well, since we are making demands for 777 stuff, I'd like the folding wings option that Boeing offered for the Triple Seven, which as far as I'm aware, no airline has ever taken them up on.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Unless you purchase TSR Autobrake you can land the 744/MD11 in Heavy rain and a tailwind above limits and still brake like Fernando Alonso in Monaco.... Rob Prest
May 20, 201016 yr Yup, I'm surprised more people don't use TSR Autobrake to be honest. I think that's a great little add-on. On the subject of other things PMDG could add, the 777 is one airliner where they could do a virtual cabin and not worry about an FPS hit, by simply modeling it with all the in flight entertainment monitors not working, for that extra touch of realism. They definitely got that wrong on the AeroSim Cripple Seven virtual cabin with all of them functioning properly LOL.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

May 25, 201016 yr I would love the LR to be modeled to fly my new route EGNT-PHNL. yeah I know that this route is shortish forbthe LR, and I have done it in the md11 but this us my current fav route and the LR would make a perfect aircraft for me!!! Cheers Dylan Leonard
May 26, 201016 yr Hi guy's !I know it's pretty early to ask about this feature ... Anyway it would be nice to have the throttles sound (like mecanic sound )which can really be heard in the flightdeck when pilot push TOGA buttons behind thrust levers ! Look at this video to understand : (0:34 to 0:35) Also I know it's kind of thing really hard to do because it has to be coupled with the FMC, but at Air France and major others carriers, there is a new system called "RAAS" ( Runway Awareness & Advisory System) which can be heard here at 0:09 : "On runway zero nine" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8a6qbF9ECg&feature=fvwSo it would be very nice to have thoses features in the next PMDG 777, Sound immersion is one of the really important things in FS ! Cheers,Duval.
May 28, 201016 yr Great news from PMDG!! the 777 is a great plane for short haul! very easy to fly and comfortable for the pilot. although if you have time during cruise to play with the systems is great fun.I will suggest realistic fma and eicas messages, I am aware it is hard to simulate that but makes it very realistic, and of course I do not expect all the system malfunctions.but if you have a close approach regarding auto pilot and systems (including panels and eicas) I becomes a fantastic learning tool.for example, the 777 during initial climb out at low weights captures the altitude that you are climbing to well in advance, sometimes even 2000ft below that altitude the aircraft is already in capture mode, so if you change the mcp altitude (because of a re-clearance) the aircraft will stay at the previous altitude, lets say we were climing to 6000 ft, so passing 4000ft the aircraft is starting to level of because of the great rate of climb, at that stage you only have to change the mcp altitude to 8000 ft and then hit the knob of the altitude on the mcp. and believe me I really miss that on the pss.regarding FMA, if it can replicate a CAT IIIB then it can be used for training also.if you finally go for a B777 200LR please do not let the fmc approach speeds at low weights to go below 140kts.in my opinion nowadays a B777 300ER and a B777 200LR would be THE models to have, good payload and good range. but I don't think it really matters.any one interested in developing a Qatar Airways livery?
May 28, 201016 yr Okay guy's ! coming back to the RAAS I've found a document here where you can here an example of RAAS Runway Awareness & Advisory System : http://www51.honeywell.com/aero/common/doc...S-Worksheet.pdf ! scroll down and you'll see "Select voice gender (all advisories) Male/Female" then you have some loudspeakers just in front ! click on them to hear the voice speaking !And one other real descriptive document : http://www51.honeywell.com/aero/common/doc...description.pdf
May 28, 201016 yr Commercial Member Hey EFB,I guess you dont own any PMDG products? Everything you mention would be a basic standard on a PMDG otherwise it would be a step back quality wise. Also are you based in Qatar? My folks are out there on a 5 year contract, I was there a couple of months back and had a good read of the Qatar 777 FCOMRegards Rob Prest
