Hi guy's !I know it's pretty early to ask about this feature ... Anyway it would be nice to have the throttles sound (like mecanic sound )which can really be heard in the flightdeck when pilot push TOGA buttons behind thrust levers ! Look at this video to understand :
(0:34 to 0:35) Also I know it's kind of thing really hard to do because it has to be coupled with the FMC, but at Air France and major others carriers, there is a new system called "RAAS" ( Runway Awareness & Advisory System) which can be heard here at 0:09 : "On runway zero nine" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8a6qbF9ECg&feature=fvwSo it would be very nice to have thoses features in the next PMDG 777, Sound immersion is one of the really important things in FS ! Cheers,Duval.
The clicking when the AT engages is already there on our MD-11 actually too - I'm sure it will be on the 777.The RAAS thing is cool, should be doable as long as we have accurate runway position data in the navdata.

Great news from PMDG!! the 777 is a great plane for short haul! very easy to fly and comfortable for the pilot. although if you have time during cruise to play with the systems is great fun.I will suggest realistic fma and eicas messages, I am aware it is hard to simulate that but makes it very realistic, and of course I do not expect all the system malfunctions.but if you have a close approach regarding auto pilot and systems (including panels and eicas) I becomes a fantastic learning tool.for example, the 777 during initial climb out at low weights captures the altitude that you are climbing to well in advance, sometimes even 2000ft below that altitude the aircraft is already in capture mode, so if you change the mcp altitude (because of a re-clearance) the aircraft will stay at the previous altitude, lets say we were climing to 6000 ft, so passing 4000ft the aircraft is starting to level of because of the great rate of climb, at that stage you only have to change the mcp altitude to 8000 ft and then hit the knob of the altitude on the mcp. and believe me I really miss that on the pss.regarding FMA, if it can replicate a CAT IIIB then it can be used for training also.if you finally go for a B777 200LR please do not let the fmc approach speeds at low weights to go below 140kts.in my opinion nowadays a B777 300ER and a B777 200LR would be THE models to have, good payload and good range. but I don't think it really matters.any one interested in developing a Qatar Airways livery?
I have no idea what you said at all
I think this is much better. Jose
I hope they model the LR and LRF. The -200LRF is the most beautiful plane in the skies next to the Queen IMO

the 787 will never be anything compared to the 777LR. the LR IMO was a one off masterpiece that could probably never be repeated. i wish more airlines took on this beast!!!! really hope in PMDG's package we see the 200ER/LR/LRF and 300ER. can't wait for this to come out. I can picture the GE90-115B PMDG Style!!

So that's cool Ryan ! I've sent an email to the PMDG team to speak about the RAAS feature, don't know if they gonna take it into account !About the AT sound, I'am not speaking about the click (present on MD11) but more about the electric sound just after click (like "Zzzzzzzeeee") Cheers,Duval.

Are you sure? I thought it would still be a 787 ? You know, the replacement for the 767 that competes with the A330 and A340 but with better (planned) cost efficiency then anything else airborne? The one that has more pre-orders then any other aircraft ever announced? Even if it is proving slightly more difficult to get it out the door then Boeing hoped. Well, I suppose if you insist...

what i ment was interms of range etc. 777LR between 9000-9600NM. Able to connect nearly any 2 airports. most powerful jet engines, perfect size for ultra long haul flights etc. The 787 will probably never be as much of a masterpiece as the 77L. i'm not saying the 787 won't be good, but in my opinion the 777 is better, especially the 77L and 77W. but also a few of airlines are cancelling or re-considering 787's. the 777 has also proven to be one of boeings best selling models, with a backlog that is constantly rising.

Now that was an intelligent and reasoned argument. And while I don't agree with everything you said, you must admit it is better then "will never be anything".The 777 LR is still the the best ultra-long haul, but there are just not that many ultra long haul flights. Would you agree that for short and medium haul, and even for low-density long haul, the 777 is a bit too big? That is the market the 787 is aiming for. Will it be any good? We will just have to wait to find out. Will it be better then the 777? At some things, maybe, at others, no.

If your only doing one model I think it should be the 772 as its the most used of the 777's ^^I really can't wait for the 777!! - Emil

Unless you purchase TSR Autobrake you can land the 744/MD11 in Heavy rain and a tailwind above limits and still brake like Fernando Alonso in Monaco....
That may be the best FS to real world analogy I have ever seen :(

BRING ON THE T7!!! i absouloutly love this beast of the skies. Maybe, if this so called 2nd recession comes, more will be ordered and maybe a few LCC. Charter carriers like Thomas cook could get a couple of 200ER's for long haul. if the 777NG gets the go ahead then i think the 787 + 777 will be the leaders in long haul and mid haul flying!!!! i hope PMDG model the ER;s and LR's. Anyone have any favourite 777;s that are flying in the real world. o love KLM's skyteam 77W and V Australis 77W

Thanks for your input. And the lower EICAS has some potential to :( Like requesting oceanic clearences and stuff like that. Those who have seen the Justplanes AC 777-300ER DVD, know what I mean. And NO, I'm not asking for a weather radar.Golli.
Yes just got that DVD Golli. Would like that flight bag, and the CPDLC, as well as weather radar. Must have WXR!!!Daniel
You guys asking for shared cockpit will likely have something to be happy about, we're pretty sure we can implement it starting with the NGX - no promises as always, but it does look like it may happen.
Words cannot describe how much I love you, I will now consider a gender change.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is an old topic. All the information here is outdated. The shared cockpit is a no-go for PMDG products because they are too complex for FSX to handle it.
