June 27, 201015 yr anyone who just goes on a forum or comes to me on Skype or something and say "I'm a pilot for the (A/C) at (AIRLINE)" is usually full of it. i have been lied to so many times by grown adults saying they are pilots. It has gotten so bad with lying i don't even know who to trust anymore. I'm sure there are quite a few pilots in this virtual world we all live in but there are also quite a few liars.i just wish people could tell the truth :(b737lvr,I have taken a little offence to your post! You suggest I am 'full of it' and a'liar', well let me tell you I am not full of it at all, your post is somewhat disrespectful!!! My reason for pointing this out was to provide my credentials if PMDG needed any more actual pilots to test their product! For your information I am a B738 SFO for a REAL airline!!So you go off and fly your virtual airliner, I will go off to fly the real thing!!!James
June 27, 201015 yr no no, I'm not saying your not! sorry if i offended you just that i have had many people tell me one thing than change it a month later saying not. i was just saying i don't know who to believe anymore because the lying is so frequent. I was just saying i have had several people tell me they're pilots than turn around later and deny it. to sum it up what i was saying was when someone comes on a forum and says I'm a pilot i have a hard time believing in them. But i have had people lie not just about being pilots but about other things too! such as one guy saying he is an officer in New York right after he just claimed he shot someones speakers out because they had up the volume too high :( that was just an obvious lie.I hope i can trust you :)What James is this anyway.. .i may know you.But anyway i will trust you.Who do you fly for? You can always trust the Little Baby *******, although to be honest, the kind of information he could offer tends to centre around fishing and carpentry, and comes up short with regard to aircraft flight control systems. Don't be fooled by his arch enemy either; despite the name, Pontius Pilate is in fact not qualified to fly an aircraft.Alcan someone sum that up for me O.obecuase of your comment i realise that the world is going to end becuase of this!you sir have made my day XD
June 27, 201015 yr Commercial Member you sir have made my day XDI won't speak for him, but I'm PRETTY sure it was intended as a sarcastic hint that your comment about users claiming to be pilots was a little...off? Can't say I've had that experience much myself, and when I have, I just bypass their attempted claim to 'fame' and read more productive posts. Nick Collett i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz, GTX 480, 8GB Corsair 8-8-8-24, 300GB WD Velociraptor, Corsair HX850W
June 27, 201015 yr My apologies b737lvr, I over reacted:-)I'm not trying to bragg or claim to fame, as i said i was just offering my services to PMDG!I have the hugest respect for the flight sim community I started my aviation life in FS98 and am very lucky enough to live my dream!Anyway back to the topic, this plane looks awesome! Looking forward to some exterior shots PMDG!All the best,James
June 27, 201015 yr I know it is too early to say, but how frame-rate friendly are PMDG's planes. For example, around how many FPS do you guys get with the MD-11 compared to a default FSX aircraft, and will I be around how many frames will I get (on the ground while at an airport, not in the air flying) with these system specs and FSX graphics at Ultra High?:core 2 duo @2.93 GHz8 Gb DDR2 RAMATI Mobility Radeon 3650 with 512MB of VRAM128 GB SSD drive.Thanks. June 27, 201015 yr quite simply sir you way out of modern technologytwo generation processors have been released since the duo, and graphics cards now a days are 3/4 times as powerful as the one you have, put simply, i think you would struggle on fsx in the ngx without seriously thinking of upgrading your pcThe thing is is that I'm running on a laptop, so for not being a gaming laptop or a desktop, I think the hardware is actually pretty good for being a laptop. I can run FSX with Ultra High settings and get 15-20+ FPS at airports, depending how complex they are, and I get around 60-80 FPS while flying (I have limited this to 30 with FPS limiter). Will I really struggle with NGX? Alfredo Terrero

June 28, 201015 yr Actually, if other fairly complex add-on aircraft are running okay on your computer, then there is no reason to suspect that the PMDG NGX will be especially different. PMDG are pretty good at optimising stuff, and do people really think that PMDG are so dumb that they would aim for producing a product that half their potential customers would not buy because they can't run it?Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

June 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member what aircraft are you getting these readings off though sir?default aircraft are about 3-4times fps *higher* than most addonsanyway, pmdg, are we onto exterior shots yet ;) Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
June 28, 201015 yr default aircraft are about 3-4times fps lower than most addons :( lower?!?! you should be getting much higher fps in default aircraft due to their minimal complexity and systems. June 28, 201015 yr :( lower?!?! you should be getting much higher fps in default aircraft due to their minimal complexity and systems.I guess that's what he meant...with the default planes you can easily get 50-60fps, but with add-ons it'll drop to 10-20fps if you're lucky :( Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]
