February 27, 201016 yr It be nice if you could create a WX Engine outside the bounderies of FSX. I always thought that the Weather in FSX sucks, ASA REX etc, nope nothing does it. If you guys made a WX Engine with Oooo I don't know areas of Convergence, Land/Sea Breeze effects, Squall Lines, actual developing and disappating T-storms etc. Then you could finally make us a true WX Radar. As far as I am concerned the you have fly into the worst CB's with Extreme Turbulence, Wind Shear, and precipiatation and never ever have a flame out or have anything break on your Airplane. Its truly the most importnant factor of pre planning and current flying, and yet we don't touch the realism of Mother Nature in this sim.I'm seeing stutters just reading this....my rig, which is nicely ocd i7 920 can't handle third party clouds in urban areas with sophisticated planes without stuttering, dropping to the 10s and 11s in fps...this I sadly think would bring it to its knees.
February 27, 201016 yr We actually have three things you don't know about... two of them are not aircraft :(Ryan, now you are just being cruel :( :(I was at first thinking 747-800, but thought that why would they keep a secret an aircraft that they have already released an exterior model of. Then I was tinking Airbus, but why would they keep an aircraft secret which they already has announced. Now I just don't know. It could be a B787, but also any other aircraft of any size and purpose out there :( A weather and ground radar would be great, although a ground radar is already included in the 737NGX if I have understood it correctly. It's going to be interesting to see what these things turn out to be B) Raymond Bergseng ENGM ________________________________ Asus P6T WS Professional, Intel Core i7 980X 3.33GHz (OC to 3.8), Zalman CNPS9700 NT CPU cooler, 12 GB OCZ Platinum XTC DDR3 1600MHz, EVGA GeForce GTX 580 "Superclocked Edition" 797MHz 1536MB, M-Audio Fast Track Ultra external USB soundcard, WD VelociRaptor 300GB SATA discs, Cooler Master Stacker nVidia Edition w/850W PSU, Dell UltraSharp 24" LCD, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Logitech Ultra X Premium Keyboard, MX 518, Saitek Yoke and Rudder.

February 27, 201016 yr Well, I doubt this will be it, but I'd love the aircraft to be a PMDG RJ or business jet. The CRJ would be great. Eric Szczesniak

February 28, 201016 yr Could it be a MD-90/B717 type of plane? hmmmMaybe the redesigned Boeing 747-8 virtual cockpit/panel?I'm 100% clueless. Brandon Cruz
February 28, 201016 yr Could it be a MD-90/B717 type of plane? hmmmMaybe the redesigned Boeing 747-8 virtual cockpit/panel?I'm 100% clueless.Hmmm...that sounds good too. Bottom line, I'll fall in love with whatever PMDG makes. Very few other companies I can say that about.I must say this about the 717 though...I've heard the 717 is a great little airplane to fly, but whenever I've been a passenger on one I've been eating my knees for lunch.Eric Szczesniak Eric Szczesniak

February 28, 201016 yr I'll have a go at this, as Chad said, it never hurts to guess.I'll go with the wx radar for #1#2 will hopefully be a stewardess!#3 will hopefully be a better modeled stewardess 2.0!!!One can hope, right? :(Nah I've already got one of them :( , and a far better model, so can I have the SDK instead please...Ta Regards James Carr

February 28, 201016 yr The stewardesses? Wow I hope so,,, I'd like to know the key combination to make that happen :(Naughty Dan :( :( I don't normally participate in these 'I hope it's going to be' threads but..........Considering the state of the Airsimmer 'Bus and the Wilco ones I DO hope that PMDG do develop an Airbus to their usually quality and my preference would be the small 'Buses A319, 320, 321 to give an alternative to the 737.It will be interesting to see what the 2 non-aircraft products are.Dave
February 28, 201016 yr And FSX dones't simulate WX properly, which is why we don't have a WX Radar. If PMDH wanted to make a WX Radar they would in about 10 seconds, but, they are making a WX Engine to go along with it. Don't doubt me Hasn

If PMDH wanted to make a WX Radar they would in about 10 seconds, but, they are making a WX Engine to go along with it. Don't doubt meForgive me, but weather doesn't seem like PMDG's expertise. They don't do much half-hearted. A comprehensive wx add-in would require a LOT of understanding that doesn't really overlap w/ replicating airplane systems from a technical manual. My bets are on two FREE add-ons:1) PMDG's first earth-bound product: the Randazzo For Nevada campaign bus2) The SNJ-6 that he wishes he was flying around the state.Steve Perry Steve Perry PMDG Beta Team
