Today was Aerosoft Innsburck X Releaes for FSX - now there could be plenty of fun trips LSZF (FSDT) to LOWI (AS) and return.....operated by JS41 by PMDG for Example :(

best regards,

KATL>KMCO. If you would have up to 2 hours time, another really nice flight KPHL>KMCO. It's about 2 hours but a really nice leg to fly.Chad

Quite an interesting thread.I find myself normally flying two-three hours flights, which gets me from a dull (normally rainy) Scotland [EGPF, EGPH] to a nice and sunny Mediterranean destination [LEBL, LEIB, LEMG, LEMH, LEPA, etc].

I also like to fly EGKK to EGCC but sometimes I take the B200 Superking (cant run FSX so no J41 for me -( )I do really love flying the MD11 though and have my co pilot (Fscrew) to back me up and help with the workload. Not flown on vatsim yet as Im scared of cocking it up.

One of my favorites is Kansai to New Chitose (RJBB-RJCC), SIDs and STARs for both and I happen to have great scenery for both (FS9) and it is probably a little over an hour. With good scenery and terrain mesh, Japan is a great place to do relatively short flights in heavies (specifically, the JAL "J-Bird" MD-11... The sexiest MD-11 ever, in my biased opinion :( ) plus the realism factor is there as domestic heavy routes are commonplace in Japan. Another one I enjoy is Narita or Haneda to Naha, also good scenery availible but I dont think Naha has any STARs. Again, FS9 only. There is alot more great Japan scenery availible for FS9 than FSX, unfortunately.
I'm going with PropPro. Japan is a small place, but it offers a lot of great under 90min flight opportunities. My hubs are New Chitose (RJCC) and Akita Intl. (RJSK), so flights to places like Haneda, Osaka, Nagoya, or Kobe are a lot of fun. The scenery for Japan in FSX is pretty good. GE Pro's textures are nice, plus there are some land class sceneryies at Flight1 that increase the visual appeal of the island nation. The airports are lacking though, but most of the FS9 Overland airports do work in FSX (There are some little texture problems.). So I have one route I enjoy the most: RJSK to RJTT. Great view of the Ou mountain range in tohoku, and a nice view of Tokyo on approach over the water.

I have a few favorites.YMML (melbourne, victoria) to YMLT (launceston, tasmania) (cant wait for NGX, great virgin blue route)- 45min to 1 hour and great with the FTX scenerysKLAS ( las vegas, nevada) to KSAN (santa ana, california) (great veiws in vegas and fun depature from santa ana.) 1 hour. Both are good short routes and are extremly fun to fly with airports with short runways in both of them (love the challenge they offer, so my favorite airport is YBHM (hamilton island, queensland).Try them and enjoy them.edit. SIDS AND STARS availble for both routes.

Last night I had a lovely flight from Nice to Zurich in the Simcheck A300B4. Trying to stay ahead of the game while manually flying the noise abatement departure proved a real challenge though I was quite pleased with the way I managed the descent planning. Only 55 minutes in the air (plus 30 minutes preparation and startup) meant I still had time to do some silly stuff in Ants Tiger Moth (from aussiex.org).

Why not either the CIVIT or RIIVR STARs? They both have transitions to HEC.

I like to use KPSP (Palm Springs Intl) as a home base and do a bunch of little jumps around the desert and SoCal. I like taking the PMDG JS41 out of Palm Springs and heading over to KLAS or KFLG, or KSAN. Mostly I do this because I love the SIDS and STARS for KPSP, very challenging manuvering around in the valley, the airport is so close to mountains.

Scott, have your tried my US Collection of SIDSTARs? I have KPSP and those RNP approaches accurately modelled (I hope), and I have connected the arrivals and depatures to the runways. Since Palm Springs is home, I would appreciate some feedback of this location if you give it a try. Thanks.
