April 29, 201016 yr Author Actually, there's one more thing. Airports by UK2000 or should I get the Horizon airports volumes 1 & 2? Jeez! This is confusing. :(EDIT: Forget that. I've just ordered all the VFR Horizon stuff. :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
April 29, 201016 yr Good choice. Forget Earthsimulations. They only do bespoke scenery at ultra high res and ultra high prices. Keith Sandford.
April 29, 201016 yr Good choice Doorman, the Horizons stuff is top notch. But let me also recommend the UK2000 stuff. I have Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow and Manchester - all spectacular (Manchester newest, with amazing frame rates). You can download from UK2000 either a) FREE versions of many of these airports - much nicer than standard or :( DEMOs of the "extreme" stuff i.e. the payware - these just stick a big rotating cube on the runway, but you get to see all the features of the airport with (I think) no time limit. So you can check 'em out before buying, and still use the freebies for what you don't buy. Great products. Good support too.Edit: the smiley is a "b" and a ")" I need to work out how to stop doing that! Paul Skol

April 29, 201016 yr Author They are the same product in a different package, Doorman. Now you tell me! :( *******! (no, not Hey-sus) It's a tangled web this flight simming. :( On UK2000's website it states categorically that UK2000 has no connection with anything called VFR.UK2000 VFR Airfields, is produced byUK2000 Scenery and is not associated orlinked with any only company using thewords "VFR Airfields"So what's that about? :( The World is divided into two groups. April 30, 201016 yr Doorman,I think it is just to let people know that it isn't part of any other "VFR Airfields" series. I think that there is a product called "VFR Airfields Germany" that includes several different volumes, but Gary's VFR Airfields have nothing to do with the company that makes those!Anyway, don't worry about it. The airfields that you are getting are superb. May 6, 201016 yr Author As a follow up, I finally got my VFR scenery. I really must try to not order stuff just before a bank holiday! Anyway, I'm quite pleased with it although it's a bit 'flat' maybe I haven't configured something correctly. However, I did manage to navigate my way from Stansted to home using the roads that I know. surreal experience! :( The World is divided into two groups. May 13, 201016 yr I like the Horizon VFR scenery - but my new rig handles AG nicely, and I'm wondering whether to swap to UTX Europe.I got it once from Flight One, but returned it, because I couldn't deal with the frame rate drop. I suspect my new machine will deal with it (I can run PNW at high levels, fluidly).Any recommendations? I know I could just buy again, but I feel like a fraud, having done it once. Will I still need to use Horizon for UK? Or will the UTX version supersede that? Does it make the rest of Europe significantly better? Any view welcome.Thanks. Paul Skol
May 14, 201016 yr What I don't like in general with photoscenery is the absence of autogen. Most of them (as far as I know) don't have any autogen.. but I have to admit, all my experiences with photoscenery are looking at screenshots :) Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
