May 23, 201016 yr The ESDG Twinstar offering is available and it looks great!Any initial impressions? Thanks!Just bought it and have had a quick flight. Nice model with good 2D and very nice virtual cockpit which appears to be fully functional (although I have not really had a chance to fully explore it yet). Possibly slightly heavy on the frame rates but I have been using in an area with a lot of detailed addon scenery. Eaglesoft always seems to produce high quality addons and it is great to see that they are not ignoring fs9 (unlike many producers lately) and have released the fs9 version first - hope they get really good sales for this version as we need to encourage manufacturers not to forget fs9 if we can.BillWindows XP Pro SP2; Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0Ghz CPU; Arctic Cool 7Pro; ASUS P5N-E-SLI Motherboard; 2GB Corsair 800Mhz DDR2 RAM; 768MB nVidia GeForce 8800GTX Dual VGA Graphics card; 2x 500GB SATA 7200RPM Hard Drive; 650W (2 x 12V) PSU; 1000GB Western Digital External Hard Drive; 150GB Western Digital External Hard Drive; CH Pro Yoke and PedalsAll powering 240GB of fs9 escapism!

May 23, 201016 yr Does the vc have reflective windows?I think you mean interior reflective glass. If so, that feature will be in the FSX Version but is not included in the FS9 Version. :(

May 23, 201016 yr I think you mean interior reflective glass. If so, that feature will be in the FSX Version but is not included in the FS9 Version. :(Yes, that is what I meant.Sorry to here that it won't be offered in fs9 version since that is one of the details I look at when purchasing a aircraft. I have many addon aircraft I just find the ones that are mored detailed with those extra mile features are the ones I mainly spend time in.

I have many addon aircraft I just find the ones that are mored detailed with those extra mile features are the ones I mainly spend time in.Sorry about that. We had to make a choice:1. VC Rain on windows-or-2. Cockpit reflections on windowsWe chose number 1, since that seems to be the most desired of the two options. Why is it that whenever a package otherwise has everything, there's always one thing that's perceived as a "deal breaker?" :( This is a case of not being able to have your cake and eat it too... ;) Fr. May 23, 201016 yr Because he wants it! I also find it adds to the VC.Agreed. It can add to the VC. We also have customers who can't stand it and want it removed. I'm sure you and others want a lot of things...So do the rest of us... :( I learned early in life that it doesn't always work out the way I want it too.If reflective interior glass is an issue that would keep you from enjoying the FS9 DA42 then by all means do not purchase.

I re-read my post and found it abrasive. It was simply in response to Ed's "Why all the fuss" question. No reflection in the VC will by no means influence my decision to buy add on aircraft. I base my decision on:1. System fidelity.2. Vendor reputation and past experience.3. Price.4. VC glass reflections. (I'm being facetious)Which leads me to this. I've got quite a bit of time on the real G1000. Will I appreciate the modeling of this G1000? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
May 23, 201016 yr Commercial Member The Eaglesoft G1000 is as good as one will get with the default FS gauge support. If you need more fidelity, the Mindstar G1000 is the way to go. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69

Will I appreciate the modeling of this G1000?No problem Zack. The most frustrating part of developing is that we cannot please everyone and cannot supply everyones favorite feature.Glad to see your list. Allow me to add what we think is another important aspect.Does the vendor offer a 30 Day, no questions asked refund if not satisfied? If not, why not? :( Ed has stated it very clearly. We believe you'll like our G1000 as is but you do have the option to seamlessy integrate the excellent Mindstar Aviation G1000 if you own it.

I am not questioning your knowledge ,just surprised to here this news. No feelings hurt here or intended ,thanks for your reply.
