The entire system will "know you" by your User ID. Changing it would destroy your stats, change you access privileges, etc. and ultimately put a great deal more work load on the staff when the resulting chaos strikes.

After 7 years, I can not figure out a reliable way to search for things like US Airways, El Al, 777... I would love some enhancements in this area.
