Well, after all the good press on these 2.57's, I downloaded them again, installed them, and tried NickN's technique for getting them to work with Nhancer. I've followed NickN's directions exactly for the 2.57 Nvidia Driver to work without NHancer...However, I'm sure there is something that I'm missing. I've downloaded the required files and gotten the message, "success" after the export and import steps. When I go to my Nvidia Driver settings, it has not changed as Nick says it will. I don't get the shadows on text in FSX indicating that my AA is correct either.Is there a step where you have to EXPORT your FSX settings from Nhancer first, and then IMPORT them from a Documents folder? I also do not get the choice of "CUSTOM" under the AntiAliasing setting in the NVidia card setting screen.There must be some detail that I'm not performing....any ideas on how I get my exact FSX settings from Nhancer to work with the 2.57's? What piece of NickN's instructions could I possibly be missing?Stan

I installed them. Exported my settings just in case, and imported Nick's settings.Then re-booted and the drivers were set with "custom AA" and 16XAF..I've since rolled back to my favorite 182.50s, but the process did work..

Thank you. Your post helped me to look back at what I was doing. I found that I wasn't going to the "unzipped" FSX profile download. That did it. I rebooted afterwards, and voila...my Nvidia settings were as Nick said they would be. My subsequent flights using the Nvidia 2.57s appear stutter-free and smooth. The quality is awesome. This driver is now a keeper!Stan

I was under the impression that these would only benefit the newer 400 series GPU's. Are saying you saw a big differrence with your 285? That's what I'm still running and now you have me curious again.

Absolutely. Works perfectly with the 285! I too, thought it was only for the 400 series, but the threads I've read here on the forum indicated that the 200 series also worked well with this driver.Stan

I actually used this tweak on my 8800GT, worked very well, and my FPS are much better (but that may be just because of ******* tweaks).

I installed the new 2.57 drivers and got good graphics and performance, but just like the beta I got a G3D.DLL crash, this has happened twice. I rolled back to my 197.45 drivers and no CTD. I have a 8800GT card with 512mb, don't know why I can't use the new driver. But will stay with my old one for some time until someone understands what is going on with the 257s.Bob JohnsonDTW

What is a G3D.DLL crash? I don't know what that is, but this evening, about an hour or so into a perfect flight suddenly the screen froze but the sound continued. Could not get out of it. Had to eventually hit the off button. Not a hint that anything was wrong. That has happened twice now. Has this happened to anyone else? I have 267.21 installed with Nick's Q8 profile settings.Stephen
