July 26, 201015 yr Hello, I just went to a local airport and saw a Citation X come in, in netjet colors. I then took pictures of it and compaired it to the citation X addons for FSX out there now. I saw that the eaglesoft Citation X was not as close to the real life plane as Wilco's Citation X is. Wilco's has most, if not all of the exterior features compaired to the real world Citation X. I then did some researching into the interiors of this plane and found that the Eaglesoft modeled the galley A little better than the Wilco, and the cockpits were about the same. I was wondering if this is what you guys see if you have the wilco, or eaglesoft? I also hear that the wilco is pretty buggy, and the eaglesoft has worked through most of its bugs, but if I have to sacrifice some bugs for an increadible Citation X, I will do so.-thank youMatthew Miller
July 26, 201015 yr I have the Wilco and I do enjoy it. Overall, I think it flies quite nice.I have heard good things about the Eaglesoft one also, but I don't have it so I can't say much more than what others have said. July 26, 201015 yr A good while ago I saw the Wilco version on a friends machine and decided to stick with the Eaglesoft version 1. Their version 2 is so much better, plus since it uses the Flight1 sales system you can get a refund within 30 days if you are not happy with it.G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
July 26, 201015 yr I own both models and must say that the Eaglesoft looks better, her flight model is very well done, the new VC (since 1.84) is great (although lacks of popup displays) and works just fine.I would also judge the Eaglesoft to have more system depth than the Wilco and more details (like the click sounds). The Wilco was cheaper, if I remember correctly.I'd stress the better flight model of the Eaglesoft and the nice VC to be my main reason for greater confidence with this buy. Just great to handfly, this bird.
July 26, 201015 yr Author Thanks you guys. I do have pictures from the real Citation X, wilco's, and eaglesofts, and I would, if I can, Crop them together in the picture editing software and point out places that are perfect (just like real life) and some that don't look very right on both planes. I do see the best interior goes to Eaglesoft, but I will see about exterior.-thank you
July 26, 201015 yr I have both, the Wilco sits in the hanger, if that helps.Mines does too....Wilco version can't even compare - I think the ES versions looks much better - I see many a C750's at work on day-day basis hehe. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 26, 201015 yr Author Here are the pictures: http://s900.photobucket.com/albums/ac206/b...7/Citation%20X/Now that I compare these I see that the Eaglesoft is more realistic. My only two problems are that when I look at videos on youtube and pictures on the website, I see that they have winglets on them, and I have not seen any Citation X with winglets. Is there a model included in this addon with no winglets? My second issue is getting the FADEC to work. I have the unregistered version of FSUIPC, and I don't know if I want to pay the extra $30 for the addon to work properly. -thank you

Regarding the throttle, you do need a registered version of FSUIPC to calibrate your throttle for proper FADEC operation (as clearly stated on the ES products website)...but the plane is flyable without that. It's just that the throttle won't have the FADEC stops and instead will only operate linearly. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
July 26, 201015 yr I don't have FSUIPC yet either - I can work the throttles just fine. You may have to work a little more but generally the detents still work at cruise altitudes... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 26, 201015 yr I have the Wilco one, but not the Eaglesoft one, and I think the Eaglesoft one looks better although I do actually quite like the Wilco one, even though it has a few glitches in FSX, so I'll probably get the ES one at some point. With regard to FSUIPC, that's just another reason why it is worth having a registered copy, there are many others, not least of which is the fact that quite a few add-ons become more usable or flexible with a full on copy of it, for example TSR Autobrake, REX and Active Sky Evolution.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
