London Heathrow

Featured Replies

Quick question for my fellow simmers.I have yet to purchase any London Heathrow scenery and am looking forward to finally making a decision. Though, I am going to need some help. They both look absolutely amazing. I just need some professional advice. If anyone can give their opinion which company got it right; pros, cons, etc, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your time.RegardsJustin

First one:http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd480!0,5369079020,10227Second one:http://www.uk2000scenery.com/newsite/My_Homepage_Files/Page17.html...but my favorite is first one.

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Heathrow V2 of UK2000 is more up to-date as it includes some of the latest changes to the airport which is still undergoing somerefurbishment and new building works. Developer has made it clear there will be more updates to eventually reflect the airportonce all building work complete. I don't have Aerosoft's version but some friends do. From what I've seen it is also highquality.RegardsJoaquin

Hi I would personally get the UK2000 version, its up to date now and even cheaper depending on were you live. I own the aerosoft version it was done by the developer simwings. it is a very good scenery but its unfortunately not up to date yet. at least to me the uk2000 is more frame rate friendly then the aerosoft version you can also try the demo for the uk2000 scenery's at there website. but both sceneries are of very high quality.

I have both the Aerosoft (Sim-Wings) and UK2000. My opinion is: UK2000 all the way! thumbsup2.gifDon't ask me why though. Sometimes you just know you like something way better.Any reasons? Well.... OK: looks better to me, is very up-to-date, animations are great, there are soooo many details plus it is much lighter for FPS.And I had zero problems with it while having some with the Sim-Wings version.Oh, and I forgot to add: it's also cheaper... :(

Hi Justin,I have both Aerosoft and UK2000 versions but my first choice is UK2000. It`s a matter of personal preference, I guess, but I find that UK2000 is crisper, more up to date and gives me slightly better frame rates. That could vary from machine to machine, I think, but I like it.Dave

Ive seen both but like the UK2000 version as its now more upto date, the texturing on both are excellent though but Garys version won it for me also because he does alot of other airports for the UK, has been in the flightsim scene for years and seems an all round decent bloke plus all of his sceneries have a certain look and feel and its nice to be able to fly round the UK and land at airports that look consistent with eachother in regards to ground texturing and building texturing and the objects that are placed around, vehicles for example. Will always try and continue to support Garys work as much as I can.Craig

never owned a Sim-Wings scenery before, but in the design of UK2000 sceneries, Gary always stresses good frames and i have yet to be disappointedand plus the airports look sooo good
