Thanks all for your support. The final flights he did was YSSY-EGLL and back, YSSY-YMML and back, then YSSY-YMML, then passed away. It seems his final flight now will be YMML-NZCH where we will say goodbye.Dan-Thank You so much for that offer, it means so much and I will take it up.

Dear Members of the PMDG forums-On Thursday Morning (14/10/10), my father John Sandri passed away in the Hilton Hotel Room in Melbourne Australia during his sleep to what a CT scan believes to be a brain tumor, he had had his lympnodes removed and was given the all clear in July and he will see them in a year for a checkup. An autospy will tell us more in the comings days. Though he was not known by anyway here, he helped me alot on the behind the scene stages of my reviews by reading over them and giving me ideas on what to expand on, I recently finished my review of the Carenado C208B one week before he passed away and got him to read over it in Melbourne (he was there one week and again a week later) where he read over it in his hotel room, he told me that he was so proud that I was improving on my skills and that it was one of my best work yet.Ive posted this here, as the only aircraft ive seemed to see him enjoy was A2A's Piper Cub with Heidi (lol!). Ive showed him pictures of your upcoming NGX and was in love at first sight. I told him it was going to be complex and a real as the 737 gets. He was looking so foward to learning to fly it, but will now never see that day.It is a horrible feeling when your father passes away at 56 years, and im only 14. He was married to my mother for 24 years and next year we were going to Hamiltion Island for her 50th, Paris for their 25 years of marriage and to London for his new business which he was in the process of buying. Sadly, none of these will ever happen.Whenever I fly this 737NGX, it will remind me of him.
AidanThere are no words to express the loss of a parent. Someone who has nutured you through life by example and deeds. By your posting it sounds like your father has established a great foundation in you of being quite a young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during these most difficult times. Remember you Dad is not truly gone, as long as you can look into the sky. God Bless.

You have my heartfelt sympathies. I lost my father to cancer as well when I was your age, so I can imagine what you are going through. It changed me forever, made me more responsible and less reckless than other kids my age. Take heart from someone who knows that the pain, while it will never totally fade, will become bearable pretty quick as life goes on. Welcome to the world of adults. I would have wished that your initiation would have been through a less painful path.Karsten

Aidan,I was very emotional when reading your post i cannot bare the thoughts that you are enduring now, you must be an incredibly strong young man. I am terribly sorry for your loss please stay strong, be close to your mum your, supporting each other is essential right now and remember he is always with you where ever you go his spirit will shine inside yourself. If you ever feel like you need to talk it seems there are many people here to help you through this tough time, all you have to do is post.Take really good care of yourself my thoughts are with you and your mum tonight.-Dan Parker

Hi All-Thank you so much for your support, many posts have brought tears to my eyes, others have made my laugh. Felipe Andrade (FACA)- When I read the first two words of your post, I was shocked someone could be so disrepectful, but then read on it and chuckled for a bit. Thanks for that comment, it really meant alot to me.I will give you guys a better idea of what the autopsy says, it should happen in 38hours (from 12AM on the 18/10/10 AEDT). It still seems unreal that this has happened as the last few months he has been travelling all over Australia for his work, I think once I see him it will sync in and I will be even more destoryed then I am.The funeral will be in NZ, not sure if anybody lives there who plays FS, but if you do, im sure he'd love for you to attend, but I, my family, nor himself would expect anybody too.Again, thank you for all your support, it shows what a great community this is :)

No problem! Thanks for the heads up, if I have to use this comment again (hope not too soon) I´ll change the order just to avoid misunderstandings. And thank you for using CRM and trusting these informations to all of us, your co-pilots. Now the flight of life can proceed smoother. smile.gif

I don't think the order is wrong or anything, its just im rather depressed and the first words I read are insulting, I tend not to read on. When he was a pilot at ChristChurch airport (general aviation) we found a box of his memories we never knew of just know, and I found three photos at ChCh Airport- Two of him in a what I believe is a Piper Archer, and one of him taking off. Im preparing a video for him, so im busy faxing, but when I get up to it later, ill be sure to post it.
