October 17, 201015 yr If you were the head honcho of PMDG, when (day of the week & time) would you release 737NGX and why? Richard Spencer Churchill PVT SEL GYSGT USMC (ret)

October 17, 201015 yr One simple answer for you WHEN it's ready! and why? simply because we want a good aircraft and not one with bugs in itI don't think the point of his post was to ask when the 737 would be released. To play along with the game, if I were CEO of PMDG, I'd release the 737NGX on April 1st/Fools Day. That way when the release announcement is made, everyone will think it was a bad joke - when really it was the most beautiful joke of all. :( Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
October 17, 201015 yr I'd release it ahead of the Level D 757 for sure. I think people will fixated with the arrival of the next high class FSX sim and the later release might not get all the attention. But the 757 is sooooooo slow, and no news out there. At least PMDG promises a 2010 release date - that's 75 days away. I say the 757 will be out in 2012 as they stated it is a part time project for 2 -3 people. I wonder how many peoplpe are working on the 737? Man if I knew I could pull in $1-4 million on a new release, I'd have a huge team on it.How many people do you think will buy the 737? There are 55,000 members. So 10,000?, 50,000? at $65 - $75 (That's $1 - $4 million in revenue) for some 1's and 0's, it's all profit. I'd have a new plane out every 6 months.Paul Gugliotta Paul Gugliotta

One little screen shot in five years? There is more evidence that Bigfoot exists. As far as the 737 goes, PMDG can take all the time it wants. I have plenty of planes to fly at the moment, having a lot of fun flying bunch of short routes around the Hawaiian Islands at the moment in the JS4100, then plan on some longer routes in the Maddog. The prospect of just having a 737 is no longer as exciting as the prospect of having the sim PMDG is developing. No longer is just having a 737 the thing that is making me wait for the NGX, but it is the standard PMDG is holding themselves too, the sytems, the visuals, the VC, the sound, the FMS, and the new fail system. As far as PMDG not releasing a plane every 6 months, it is because they are more like the Aston Martin of flight sim, not the Toyota. Their planes are always cutting edge, always a full experience, and it takes time. To short development on planes so they can have a large catalogue would just damage their great reputation they have duly earned. October 17, 201015 yr You guys/gals need to get off the soap box you all are on. The OP asked a simple question about when YOU would release the add-on. Not when pmdg was goijg to release it. Out of all the responses, there was only one kind response which was actually nswering the question. Eeryone is jumping on this guy and giving smart remarks. Someone made a comment about a filter of sorts. We do need one so we can filter posts that have no relaion to the OPs post. Get real people. Its just one more way to pass time and to the OP, your post is pretty creative. To answer the question...i would release it on 31 of december and not tell anyone. Because on that day, people will be lookin on thw website anyways and they will find it with relative ease. October 17, 201015 yr I'd release it on the 8th of November, as a birthday present to myself :(. Andrew McCluskey

Some peoples posts (not this one), are like people think they deserve more than the rest of us are getting in the other thread and some just might be new people that just heard of it and don't know any better, but yeah it would be nice to have what Grzegorz mentioned :) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

October 17, 201015 yr Guys,I think our OP here was misunderstood. The thread is not about when the 737 NG would be released (Thank god), but a game asking "If you were Robert, and had all the power, what would you do for the 737NG Release date?" It looked to me like the thread was made with a more tongue-in-cheek attitude. That said, this is a discussion forum. Where's the fun in it if we can't have open discussions? :( Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
