November 10, 201015 yr For the ugliest - well it has to be the super guppy - just doesn't look flyablehttp://www.allaboutguppys.com/sg/sgtest1a.jpgJohn EllisonOf course the Stratocruiser and especially the Pregrant Guppy/ Super Guppies aren't eyecandy.. but after having flown the Strat from A2A with Accusim,I fell a little bit in love with it. :( Regards. November 10, 201015 yr For me, its the MD-11. 2nd runner up is the 747-400 in Malaysia blue hibiscus livery, and lastly, the DC-2. Bill Howard
November 11, 201015 yr I can't believe how many people are wrong on this thread. VC-10, B757, A330.Simples.MattI am actually very surprised at how many people listed the B757. I think the thing looks like a chicken, (its the nose gear)anything that is a boeing is beautiful!airbus.. most ugliest things i have ever seen, inside and out! as i always say, 'if it aint boeing, i aint going'+1 Scott Kalin VATSIM #1125397 - KPSP Palm Springs International AirportSpace Shuttle (SSMS2007) http://www.space-shu....com/index.htmlOrbiter 2010P1 http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/
November 11, 201015 yr For me it has to be the 737-200, as seen below in this tight SAA formation display.Or the B747 Baby Jumbo. Short, stocky an mean!AntCape TownSouth Africa
November 11, 201015 yr My all-time favorite is the 757-200. It is just gorgeous. Airliners.net Photo ID: 1763350I love this shot! I like how focussed or concentrated the heat blur is to the center of the No. 2 engine. I guess that's high bypass for ya. You've got that big engine, but most of the thrust is coming from a relatively small portion of it. Engine technology sure has changed since the days of the 707 and the original 737. November 11, 201015 yr Engine technology sure has changed since the days of the 707 and the original 737.And going by the theme of this thread, got to love how High Bypass Turbofans look compared to the old torpedo looking jets. November 11, 201015 yr The 744 easily takes it for me. I think it's probably the most Influential plane in commercial aviation history. I also think the A330 is a gorgeous bird and a close 2nd place to the queen.Great topic ! Blake Williams
November 11, 201015 yr Far out in front is the Queen.Far out the back is the Queen LCF. (looks like the queen with bloat. No way that could be pretty)Fun thread to follow.RegardsDarryl Critchley

November 15, 201015 yr It's the Boeing 727-200. It looks elegant and beautiful in the air and on the ground. Not obese or blimpish (Airbus A380) and not chubby or stumpy looking (737-100). Instead it's like a stunning model with the right measurements. A work of art in aluminium.

Engine technology sure has changed since the days of the 707 and the original 737Sure, it did. Compare the engine of old 737-100 to the modern 737-700. Huge difference.
