Concorde is obviously very beautiful and has to take the #1 spot, but its kinda in a different category. Its more like a military jet.For normal subsonic pax haulers i'd rank it1: 752. Very sleek and slender, the wings are very well proportioned with the rest of the aircraft. 2: MD80/MD95/B717 series. It looks so fast with the wings mounted that far towards the rear of the fuselage, and there's something special about the T-tail and the rear mounted engines3: MD11. Greatest looking triholer in my opinion.Bottom of my list is the a380, it kinda looks like xenomorph from the "Aliens" series. The B747 follows closely, the hump does not look good at all. Third worst looking plane is the a320 for me. As someone once said in a forum, "it looks like a womans toy"

From a purely aesthetical point of view, the sleek, corporate-jet fuselage, and shark-like snout of the Embraer 190 really appeal to me, EVEN IF much of the Embraer fleet is criticized for harsh, bouncy rides in rough air, and for having been produced with underpowered engines that make them runway hogs.If form and function are the criteria for judging aircraft beauty, then my favourite airliners would be the 767 or 757, since they both look good, and are fitted with engines that deliver massive power the instant it is needed.

Best regards from Tony, at the helm of the flying desk.

First for me is the old Sud-Aviation Caravelle (especially the United and Air France liveries).Second place for me is the Tupolev 134. Sleek. And third is the 767-300. It has a pretty face.Richard S(Agreed A380 is ugly, especially the nose - that's why publicity shots are always rear 3/4)

Interesting how so far that so many people are wanting a PMDG 777 but it's not appeared too often in thus post :) anyway my no. 1 would be the 777-300ER followed by the 777-200's can decide between ER or LR'a they're both good. As for the bottom end world have to say A340-200/300 just looks wrong with those small engines. Also not really a fan of the DC-9 - 717 series.

For meMD-11 - best looking plane in the sky777-200LR. Mass amount of power, massive engines and a oh so sweet soundF-16. Sexy that's it just sexy!!

Maybe it's just because of the systems and the range off the 777 which make it good as a choice of product. Personally I would rather see the 744 redone to NGX standards as I love the jumbo

In the "oldies but goldies" category I would vote for Concorde, Caravelle, and the 707. I also liked the DC-10 (but not so much the MD11..)For more recent designs, I am not too sure : they tend to have less "character".But the good side of having families is that you can choose the one whose fuselage lenght matches your sense of aesthetics (and proportions). So I would pick the 777-200, 737-700 and A330-200.But I am also partial to the "short and chubby" ac types so the 737-600 and A318, also get a vote (in a side contest).Never liked the 747...Don't like the A380 too much either, although its wings are really beautiful and, with a longer fuselage maybe...BrunoPS (edit) : Ooops, I almost forgot the 787. Not bad eh?

My favorite looking plane is the 767-300 closely followed by the 777-300.Ugliest? The A320/19/21, closely followed by the 757-300. Stupid looking things IMHO.

Everyone here seems to be talking about commercial planes here, but my favourite is the F-16. And second come the MD-11 and third Concorde or 747.. I'm not sure which one I like best.Ow yeah, and the ugliest, IL-76 wins that miles ahead of the rest.
