November 7, 201015 yr So......I'm thinking of purchasing this product. Overall opinions folks?? How is the performance hit FPS wise. It looks like it shouldn't impact too much. After downloading the manual and looking very hard at screen shots, I can't tell if there is reflective glass in the VC. Can someone confirm this? If there is even a little bit, maybe we can get someone to tell us how to increase the reflection if possible?? I really like what that adds to the immersion. The way this AC is designed it is not a showstopper, but it would really add for me if it had it. It looks nice and after seeing the video, I am intriqued now. thanks in advance. I was going to start a new topic, but we already have this general one started already. By the way, I appologize to you Bill, you were asking about the HDG issue, so please excuse me for budding in, I just wanted to get her today, and wanted a conformation on the few things, including any issues like the one you or anybody else are having so I know what to expect.Warm regards, Jeff
November 7, 201015 yr OK, I did it again...I broke down and got it. Anyway, I hope to put her through the paces this evening. Bill, I will check the issue you had experienced with the HDG bug to see if it happens on my end. I'll report back tonight or tomorrow. Warm regards, Jeff
November 7, 201015 yr Has anyone else had a problem with HDG HOLD? For some reason it keeps overshooting the HDG bug and never seems to actually lock...HDG Hold works ok for me. No overshoot at all. Jim

November 8, 201015 yr Well, after running it through a short flight from Telluride Regional CO, I have to say ehhhh, it's OK. Nothing spectacular IMHO. It uses all default guages as FSX didn't even need to register one of them. The VC is just OK as well. For the price, it is well..OK. I am just being honest. I like the VC in the default lear 45 better. The VC glass has texture to it. At night if the flood is on, you can't see much outside as it has a green hue to it. I would have liked to see more reflection instead of green. The video makes the product alot nicer. I am not bashing the DEV, it's just my opinion. It is sort of a souped up version of the lear 45, but I always like to support all devs out there trying to make an honest buck like these folks, so it was money that to me has been contribution to the company. I still have to spend a little bit more time using it, however I don't think my opinion will change much. I've gotten spoiled by my PMDG J4100. Anything less is just that. Have a great night everyone. :)Warm regards, Jeff
November 8, 201015 yr Actually they are all 3D modelled gauges aside the face of the gps system , there are no gauge files included for FSX to register as all the code is in the model.
November 8, 201015 yr Thanks for the info. I did not realize that. I may have jumped the gun anyway on my opinion. It really is nicely done and it definitly wasn't a slapped together addon. I need to realize that it was designed to be simple for the user. However I am sure behind the scenes it is complex in its own right. I did not spend enough time other than the half hour to really make any opinion that matters and like I said, I am used to the J4100 VC which is pretty hard to compare. I really would like to know... is there is a way to make the glass reflections in the VC come to life somehow and get rid of the green hue. If there is anyone here that knows how, please chime in and tell me the best way to accomplish this. I have CS4, so if a texture can be opened in photoshop, I would try it right away. Warm regards, Jeff
November 8, 201015 yr Might want to try loading up a default aircraft first if you are having issues with it.AlHi Al,I did load the default Baron first. Then I tried loading the default 172. Neither seemed to fix the problem. My solution was to disable the belly and tip tanks and increase the capacity of the main tanks respectively. Now it feeds as it should. Not very realistic, I know. But neither is my flying a Lear at my age and living to tell about it...LOL.Cheers,Bill "A good landing is one you can walk away from. An excellent landing is one you can taxi away from." November 8, 201015 yr Well, so long as the gas is flowing, then that's cool. It's bad enough when it is working, as the Lear is not exactly a flying gas tank - I had to land mine on a road when it ran out of gas on an Air Hauler flight after I miscalculated the range in a headwind, and that can be expensive in Air Hauler, which regarded my perfectly okay dead-stick landing on a deserted Spanish motorway as a complete write off LOL!Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 8, 201015 yr The fuel flow issue remains a mystery , Running the aircraft after going through all of the questions and commentary to double check the observations i could not duplicate the fuel imbalance and flow problem. The Green glass issue at night i can help with, this Replacement Bitmap will eliminate the night hue to the cockpit glass, unfortunately adding reflections to the daytime glass would require alterations to the model file to enable and have historically caused many to wish the glass was clear and ask for a blank windscreen.
November 8, 201015 yr Thanks to this thread I was convinced to place an order.Unfortunately, the download version will not work for me. Internet access required for installation.Plus, I want to start collecting the DVD or CD versions and add them to all the FS 2004 DVDs that I have collecting dust. :( MSFS
