November 29, 201015 yr After reading this thread I am wondering if KCLT is only 100% compliant with FSX SP2 and not Accel.Yes, the problems with Imaginesim sceneries only exists with Acceleration and my understanding is that it has something to do with the runway lights. IMO, FSX compliant means SP2 and Acceleration compliant. Simmarket says the products are FSX compliant with no disclaimer that the products are not Acceleration complaint - that is where my crook statement comes from. The only reason I had the link was because I saved it, assuming this is the one you were talking about, but searching for the same thing yielded nothing.Yup. That's the one. I have not tried it yes since I don't have KIAD. I imagine something similar could be done with CLT but I have not had time to play with it.Still seems like something they should be able to accomplish on their end. In addition, they need to post a disclaimer noting that it doesn't work with Acceleration so no one else gets screwed. That being said though, they should still post a large bold faced disclaimer saying that Accel users may have some problems with the product.I have never been much for trying demos, but in the case of thier products, I always try it first to make sure. Other stuff like FSDT, I just buy straight away because I have confidence in the product and support, but not so much with Imaginesim and some other devs airports. November 30, 201015 yr I'd say the probpem is on your guy's end. I have fsx accel pack and have katl, kiad, tjsj, mynn, ksjc, wsss, klga and vhhh all running just fine with it and that is using the pmdg 744 with it. Granted I dont have kclt. All I have done is mipped all the textures to get rid of the shimmering. Eric

The BluePrint KIAD, which has no mipmaps, runs perfectly in FSX without major anomalies, and with crisp framerates, even with slight shimmers on the main terminal.Dave. December 2, 201015 yr Just for the heck of it I thought I would look at ImagineSims web site to see if by any chance they may have done any updates fixing the issues we are all talking about and I was greeted on the opening page to news on their new airport in the works VIDP New Delhi. I dont think this group gives a rats A@# about trying to address issues with any previous releases. :( Jim Wenham

All I have done is mipped all the textures to get rid of the shimmering.Have you run KIAD at night? Maybe the problem is not Acceleration but something else that is common enough for them to have already issued fixes for several airports. Did your LGA work ok before the patch? The patch fixed LGA - night and day difference between the non-patched version and the patched version. I'm not talking about a difference in 15FPS. I am talking about a difference between average performance and a static image refreshing every 2-3 seconds. Mip mapping or no mip mapping, you are not going to get .5fps. The problem with the runway lights was serious enough that they did fix some scenery. They just have not gotten to CLT yet. I don't own IAD but I have heard it suffers from the same problems. KATL, TJSJ, KLGA, KCVG, KMCI and MYNN also work fine on my system. This problem can not be resolved by tweaking - it is far more serious than that. If you saw it, you would know what I mean. Since you have not experienced it, you can't understand exactly how bad the performance is with the runway lights on.I really like the choice of VIDP. It will be perfect place for flight to/from the Maldives. I imagine they are still working on patches. All I can say is keep emailing them. December 2, 201015 yr Ok. Tried the fix in post #17 and it does appear to work. The instructions are for IAD so you need to make a change. Rather than just pasting what was in post, just change the runway readings so they are all between 0 and 180 degrees. For the ones that are not between already between 0 and 180, subtract 180 from the current heading. November 5, 201114 yr ...and here we are a year later, and Imaginesim still hasn't posted a fix for KCLT. I'm shocked...SHOCKED I tell you! November 6, 201114 yr Well there is an update (or is this an issue that's not fixed by the 2008 update):http://imaginesim.co...ltupdates01.htmBut it's not available to purchasers of the JuStFlight WA3 edition. Still waiting for that, but according to JF officials it should come before the end of the year. Let's hope so... November 6, 201114 yr I was amused when I applied the old FSX update for KCLT and it just removed all the trees instead of replacing them with something that actually worked. Not very technically adept. Formerly Coneman - 900+ ___________________________________________________________ If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.

Still waiting for that, but according to JF officials it should come before the end of the year. Let's hope so...No, the 2008 updates (there are two of them) don't address the problem. As described in the linked thread above, dissasembling the runways_01.bgl file, manually editing the two N-S runways so that the primary runway is rwy 18C/L rather than 36R/C, then recompiling with scasm did fix the slow frame problem. Sure would have been nice for ImagineSim to have fixed this.
