December 7, 201015 yr Is there a Prepar3D specific forum? just wanted to hear from actual Prepar3D users about the performance they are getting and particularly, I'm interested in knowing if the Prepar3D development team went via Dynamic buffers with low threshold values or ended up implementing static vertex buffers... i'm curious ;) so if any Prepar3D user will be so kind to send his esp.cfg file (or whatever is called) I'll appreciate it.Thanks,
December 7, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi *******,the best way to learn all this is to post the question in the Prepar3d forums - the devs post regularly there and are ready to answer any questions you have.Best, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com

December 7, 201015 yr As I understand it, Prepar3D is basically a "pimped" version of FSX, fully compatible with FSX SP2 addons. Does it run faster, more stable, or are the enhancements in other areas? IF it provides a substantial fps increase, I would be considering dishing out the 500 bucks...

December 8, 201015 yr As I understand it, Prepar3D is basically a "pimped" version of FSX, fully compatible with FSX SP2 addons. Does it run faster, more stable, or are the enhancements in other areas? IF it provides a substantial fps increase, I would be considering dishing out the 500 bucks...Well, based on a review on PC Pilot, it requires a much stronger computer than the ones required to run FSX in general. Expect to see an FPS increase should you meet their requirements. Acceleration add-ons will work best. And AFAIK, they have featured several notable payware add-ons, such as Aerosoft's F-16, PMDG'S J41, and basically some of MSFS' most advanced aircraft. Dave. December 8, 201015 yr I see you're gonna get yourself a prepare3d license.May I ask what's the benefit for you as a tweaker? It's pretty expensive if you ask me ;) John doe

It's pretty expensive if you ask me ;)My understanding is that this is more of a Commercial product for flight training rather than a retail product. It does look fantastic, but the price tag is really high for most people's budget. December 8, 201015 yr My understanding is that this is more of a Commercial product for flight training rather than a retail product. It does look fantastic, but the price tag is really high for most people's budget. It is indeed a Commercial product for flight training just as ESP was. The everyman version is at the moment FSX and eventually Flight. So you have two types of products aimed at two types of markets. Note that I am only showing the Microsoft coded flight simulators.Regards, Mike Mann Mike Mann

December 8, 201015 yr It's $9.95 per month for a developer license and you get two copies.Client licenses are $499. The price for the Prepar3d Developer Network (PDN) subscription is $9.95/month.Regards, Mike Mann Mike Mann
December 8, 201015 yr Commercial Member And they did! and what an answer ;)http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=106.0 It's very refreshing to see the developers be involved in the forums, that's for sure. I'd like to see the new MS studios developers be as involved when Flight releases! Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
December 8, 201015 yr http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=71.0 I think it's insane they have extended the gauge system, that way I imagine one could eventually (finally!?) do external camera views to some extent, as found on most current widebody aircraft. Although I'm not deeply into this I still find it sounds promising. :(
