Aerosoft hueyBusy DL as I type. Looking forward to see what this one is like..!
Initial responseLooking good inside and outside.Flight dynamics : Dont know as I have not flown a huey in RL and would like to hear opinions from RL pilots that have flown the huey.Sound. A bit stale for me. Sound seem to one tone all the way. Maybe a problem on my setup? the only difference from takeoff to getting up to speed is the wind sound that is added. Please let me know if it is different on your installations so that I maybe can re-install my package.Overall flight was nice. really not difficult to fly and is actually on the easy side for me.Still looking forward to the see what the dodo huey will be like but again that seem to be still in the far distant.Edit:With sound I mean difference in pitch/blade/blade slap sounds

Looks really good...I'm a little bit torn because I have a ridiculous amount of add-on aircraft to begin with, but I don't own any helicopters...Thinking.gif

Are you able to compare it to the Nemeth Huey.I already have the Nemeth Huey, so two Hueys might be a little bit much for me unless it was something really special.

Sorry, I dont have nemeth Huey.

Looking at the screenshots, it doesn't look like there is a US Army livery? If not I don't know how they could have overlooked that. After all that was the first intended use for this bird.

Thanks

Pretty decent cockpit, realistic and well-detailed, with very acceptable exteriors. I have the Nemeth Huey and I think it's not as good as this Aerosoft version - but in fairness, the Nemeth Huey has been around for a looong time. My only complaint - the collective doesn't come up as I pull on it, but it does appear to work though). The best chopper on the market? - DodoSim's Jet Ranger. Beats the pants off all the rest, and by miles. If this Huey's FD is built with the same attention as that of DodoSim - this Huey will be a must-have for me!

I think the DodoSim Jet Ranger has a more complex FDE, especially considering that it has user selectable difficulty levels. That being said, the Huey X was developed with input from actual pilots, and it utilizes a separate flight dynamics engine from FSX to makeup for the shortcomings from the sim.

I can't find the download version offered without VAT. Anyone find it? Thanks.Bob..

Hey, man! Not wishing to pee on Aerosoft, but every payware aircraft or scenery package that is made for FSX has phrases like "input from, and is tested and flown by real-world pilots": They all say it. With some - it's actually true, and they are the best names in the hobby, but there's a lot out there that put out nothing but BS. I'm thoroughly happy with the Dodo, but I will give it a couple of months before buying another helicopter on a snap judgment.

@ Bob,The version without VAT is automatic if you are buying the download from the USA. You'll see in the purchase process that the amount will adjust itself automatically. hope this helps. :)Warm regards, Jeff

US Army livery (including the VC) on the way next week, together with a couple more repaints.

Flown the aerosoft Huey a couple of times but already I found myself reverting back to the dodo...Aerosoft have improved and for the money, what I got was a bit more then I bargained for (very nice VC), but it just is not on par with the dodo in respect to flight dynamics. Huey also do not have the proper startup sequence and have been adjusted make work with FSX.
