February 1, 201115 yr Goodmorning all,3 years ago, I met and worked along side the forum member chris493. He was a very good man, and a very close friend. I really don't know how else to inform those of you who knew him on here. I regret to inform you, that a few days ago, Chris was killed in a motorbike accident in Perth, Australia. I've spent the last few days supporting his family and fiancée via phone calls, and will fly out to Perth tomorrow evening for his funeral.I'd like us all to remember Chris for what he was to this community. He was the guy who introduced me to flight simming and the avsim forums. I want to thank him for it. I don't think I can say anymore, but please take a minute to remember him, whether you knew him or not. Thank you, and may all our prayers be with his family.Feel free to leave comments of support and friendship.

He was a nice guy, told everything so easy to understand an I knew him for his big klnowledge. I want to thank him, he gave me the right ideas to make it all better. February 1, 201115 yr Banned for 2 weeks from this FSX forum, he moved on to RealWorld v. 2011 to take the Motorcycle Add-On (great implementation of the wind-in-yor-face-on-a-sunny-day effect!) for a spin.Sadly he encountered a hard CTD with BSOD due to autogen popping-up unexpectedly, so he now joined the Team designing RealWorld v. 2012 at Great Eye-in-the-Sky Software Megaworks. Unfortunately he was asked to sign an NDA (strictly enforced) so he can't post here anymore and we won't know what he's up to.Thanks Chris for all your wonderful posts, you will be remembered! With best wishes to his family (and to you Chris if you've got broadband up there to read this).- jahman.
February 1, 201115 yr It is indeed a tragedy and very sad to hear this news. I was also assisted by Chris many times and will certainly remember him.--- May his friends, family and relatives find comfort in this difficult moment!Johnny
