Right :( Actually, the real Thunderbird-2 was very shiny; don't forget that current technology in FS-design is far more advanced then what animated video technics could handle in the days this TV-series was created .....Hence, our model represents the real Thunderbird-2 far better then the creators back then ever could ...If you understand what I'm trying to say ..... LOL.gifLOL.gif Cheers, Rob

Great stuff! I remember watching that show as a kid in the 1960's. Unfortunately, we only had black & white TV, but my friend had model of it (Corgi/Dinky toy?). Can't wait to see this in FS9.Thanks,

Graeme Butler

FAB, Rob, looking forward to it. We were in touch about a previous T2 for FS2002, if you recall. So you have a working vertical take-off/landing system, plus the ability to do 2,000 mph (or 5,000 mph, as some of the TV episodes had it!);)

Hi Martyn,Good to hear from you !!And Yes, I remember .... :( In fact, Libardo is giving you and Brian credit in his README for inspiring him in making this new model :( As you may know, my "VTOL" implementations have quite evolved a bit since we last spoke; but you can judge it yourself when it's released. As far as max speed is concerned: as we have it now, it's doing Mach 1.5; no problem to get it faster, but there are a few reasons not to.Best regards, Rob

It's a lovely model, and kudos to the maker, but I won't be flying it. Even as a kid watching the original Thunderbirds I could never suspend my disbelief enough to be persuaded that something that looked like a fat, futuristic submarine could ever get airborn :(

Yea Thunderbirds are go !!

Looks great! Takes me back to First Grade (or Grade One, being in Canada and all) circa 1971. Always envied the kids whose parents sprung for the die-cast toys from that show. I seem to remember being more of a Captain Scarlet fan, though....
