March 31, 201115 yr From a post by RSR just this morning... The PMDG NGX is, hands-down the most complex system simulation of any airliner yet produced for FSX- whether you look at the detail of the airplane model, the cockpit, the behaviors of the FMS, or the way the aircraft systems are tied together into a living, breathing airplane- this simulation is unlike anything you have ever experienced in FSX.Similarly to the JS4100 there is no way for backwards compatibility to FS9, the development methods in use are just not supported in FS9. You can believe what you want based on outdated information or you can listen to what we are all telling you which is the same thing PMDG has been saying to all of us for 18 months. The JS, 747-8, NGX and 777 are all FSX birds... believe it, argue it, I could really care less. While I am an avid FS9 guy I have an I7 2600K in my cart at NewEgg right now... The writing is on the wall, if you want "certain" releases you better become intimately familiar with FSX... Or be happy with what you have today and don't worry about the latest and greatest. Point it is a choice, you can't have your cake and eat it too just because you want it...Fact of life, just like I bought a 3D television with active glasses 3 months before the passive glasses versions were released. Oh well, I love what I have and life will go on all around me... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
March 31, 201115 yr Commercial Member iFly has it's big SP2 and Features pack for its 737.Speaking of the iFly, FS2Crew also has versions for the FS9 iFly 737.Button Control currently and in the very near future - Voice. In case any of you are wondering how FS9 add-ons do commercially, I can only speak for FS2Crew, but I was very surprised that the FS9 iFly version of FS2Crew sold as many copies as it did.Point is, there's still a good size market for FS9, which amazes me in many respects. It caught me by surprise.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 31, 201115 yr .I can't believe there's still people joining this, arguing about something completely different than the original subject/disagreement. March 31, 201115 yr Why doesn't someone just lock this thread. It's gone totally off-topic and degenerated into pettiness.Totally unnecessary.Martin
March 31, 201115 yr I can't believe there's still people joining this, arguing about something completely different than the original subject/disagreement. Incredible. It happened to be new information from just this morning. Considering 90% of the posts in this thread have been you arguing with everyone else why are you surprised when someone posts new information to counter your position? It would be easier to change this thread to "Clum knows better than everyone so no one challenge him or you are thickheaded"Take a deep breath, this is after all FS we are talking about LMAO. You debate it like we are talking about going to war... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
March 31, 201115 yr Yep apologies to the OP for this thread getting ruined. I shouldn't have kept responding to all the nonsense, but just can't believe the amount of people who are coming after me, first for making one completely accurate statement, then secondly for something else entirely.G7USL, regarding the original argument, if you ever do find those 'official announcements' that I need to catch up on stating there is definitively no fs9 NGX being made, then please do pm me a link and I will whole heartedly apologise to the entire forum. Everyone else, have fun arguing with yourselves about why there isn't going to be one.....that's got nothing to do with me.Psolk, the problem is, all I've ever done is to quote PMDG. Apparently it is everyone else who knows better than them. I suggest trying to calm your mob mentality and actually going back through the thread and reading properly. I've got no interest in discussing what you are talking about. I merely quoted an official, and still valid PMDG announcement, and have been torn to shreds for doing so.Cheers i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson

There is one lone abstaining juror preventing us all from going home!!! :Big Grin:All in good fun Clum, this is after all FS like I said. I learned a long time ago to laugh off 99% of the debates and arguments, not worth it.Have a GREAT day! And Yes Clum I can see your halo from here :( BTW, anyone else tried Shift2 yet? Maybe an FS9 race team? ;) Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
March 31, 201115 yr Fair play mate, I've definitely gotten too worked up over this. And SHIFT2....will be giving it a miss. No NFS since underground2 has been any good! i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
March 31, 201115 yr Fair play mate, I've defiantly gotten too worked up over this. And SHIFT2....will be giving it a miss. No NFS since underground2 has been any good!I am a sucker for any racer with a 1st person view, guess it is like my VC LOL.. My decision is still out on it but it feels very arcadey if that is a word...Just thought I would take this even further off thread for fun :) Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

This one also gets lost sometimes when companies develop addons without first doing a little research with the vey people who are actually going to purchase it.Depending on where you read there is not a market for FS9 anymore but I am happy that another major developer has stated that FS9 sales are holding up.Anyway I guess we will have the same debate when Flight comes out. :rolleyes:My FS9 has never looked better
