Any big payware releases for FS9?

Featured Replies

Since it seems most payware developers have moved on to FSX I'm wondering if there are any major FS9 releases in the future? Currently I can only think of the QualityWings BAe-146.

-Flightbeam is doing the FS9 version of their KSFO after releasing FSX version, following by Phoenix Intl.-FsDreamTeam is in progress of making Los Angeles KLAX for both FSX and FS9-Flytampa is doing Athens and Baltimore.-InterimStudio almost done their Miami KMIA and Miami city, for Fs9.-And yes,iFly will be releasing their SP2 very very very soon and feature pack later this year. That's all I can remember now :(/Fs9 hasn't been dead yet,not even close :(

Qualitywings have the 787 coming fs9's way as well. There's also a great looking DC-10 in the works here (http://www.xsimulate.net/index.html). Wilco have the Airbus Evolution due, though is barely worth a mention it seems. NLS have the A380 in development, although is probably still some time away. UK2000 as always have a steady new stream of sceneries in the works for fs9, next up being EGGP which is due for release on Saturday I believe. I'm sure Aerosoft and the other big scenery dev's have some more coming our way too. EDIT: somehow forgot that FS2Crew have a voice commander for the iFly 737 out soon. Can't wait for that one! That 737 will be the about the most complete simulation for fs9 once sp2/feature pack and fs2crew voice are in the mix.Plenty still going on for fs2004 thankfully.Oh and don't forget that although highly unlikely, PMDG still aren't officially out the game with the NGX for fs9 just yet.

You've just made my day!The VA I fly for has lots of flights to and from EGGP, and UK2000 sceneries rock Big%20Grin.gif Also didn't know that FlyTampa were doing Athens, that's a must-get for me when it arrives!

HiPart of the problem (apart from the fact that us FS9'ers are a diminishing number I fear) seems to be that newly developed scenery addons are easier to port over from FSX to FS9 than aircraft addons which require a lot more effort. It seems that most developers do not feel the market is there to make developing both FSX and FS9 versions of new aircraft financially viable, so they stick with FSX (sadly!). At least we are still getting a reasonable supply of new scenery and, lets face it, there are examples of most aircraft available for FS9 as either payware or freeware, although some better quality ones are still needed for a few types! Good to hear though that there are a few aircraft on the way!Bill

Dream on and catch up with PMDG aanouncements. There will not be any more FS9 addons from PMDG. :(

That Xsimulate DC-10 really caught my attention! Looks like an FSX release as well. I'm wondering about systems fidelity, though. The forum seems to be dead so the project doesn't seem too promising.

Looks decent, indeed. But be happy, it isn´t a FSX release, it´s FS9.

This is exactly the kind on nonsense that will convince PMDG to not even bother. The community has convinced itself that it's 100% a no go. The last announcement from them is stickied on their forum (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/273567-pmdgs-position-on-fs2004-development-21jan10/), stating that, to paraphrase, a future of an fs9 NG is uncertain. If you're privy to some further information on the matter that isn't available to the rest of us then please do share.

Well if you're going to claim something that is going against the official announcements and wish to be taken seriously, then you DO need to show me.

Please, don't hold your breath for the XSimulate DC10 ! Since three years at least, the project is more dead than Tutankhamon and their forum is just a spammers rendez-vous... So, no DC10 in sight as far as I know : lots of B737's, zillions of MD80's, tons of 747's and Airbuses (ok, half done Airbuses)... but sadly no "good" DC10 for FS9 ou FSX (CLS one is a joke). Why ? Don't ask me..Henri (NWWW)
