Awesome!Big%20Grin.gif

Thanks for the pictures! From previous webisodes I was quite impressed with what the airports looked like... They seemed to have nicely colored runways and nice ground detail that is missing in FSX. But the brief shot that we get at this one is quite plain looking; it seems to resemble an FSX airport.

Best regards, happy flying,

Wallace

Well... You mad? Hehe... I don't think that's true, in my opinion. I think that's its actually been the opposite to that. In the 'Lift' webisode, we can clearly see that the runway.. is really, really awful (probably just the FSX texture). But on this new webisode, we can see that it is much nicer, which is contradictory to your statement XDJamie ♥

*btw, when using the term 'game' it is an umbrella term, it also includes simulation and racing games, and everything in-between. Do not twist my words.

"A video game is an electronic form of play that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device" - the definition of the word "videogame", game is the common shorthand for videogame. Just being clear.

All looking good. :(

Still sticking and rocking with FS9.

YoIPy.gif You can't say that here.......

Wait... Microsoft recycles bits of the old sims?! I am thoroughly shocked... /sarcasm

It looks good, the water and scenery textures are very nice. The clouds are a bit bleak (to fs9,fsx standards), looks like we will be looking for REX to come in and sort those out some months after this platform gets released. The biggest thing that sticks in my mind is performance, are we looking at videos and images that our PC's will struggle to produce at good frames? I've got a core i7 you see and it still struggles with FSX. Maybe i need to look for a post that discusses the possibility og MS Flight to use multiple cores.Whistle.gif

Almost right, it's the other way around, Microsoft is adding bits to the old sims..../Edit*YoIPy.gif

What are you talking about? That was completely senseless. It literally looks completely identical to FSX in that screenshot at the top of this post.

Okay, your opinion. Mine is different, not senseless. I assume you have eyes, yes? EDIT* How about you take a screenshot, of that exact airport in FSX, with a closely matching view, and show me its exactly the same. :)Jamie ♥

The difference I see is that they're using a photo-real tile underneath the runway to add detail but on top is a typical AFX-style runway. The AFX runway is blurred in the picture but if I had to guess I think it's probably either the same asphalt texture or similar and the same markings textures

Are those VC raindrops in the first Maule cockpit pic?The plane looks too clean for them to be dirt/flies.
