WU 17 Today (Now live already)
Hey Donka, thank you but no need now. Dumbass me though WU UK&Ireland was vIII not vXVII which I have now downloaded and its working. After all these years I still can't get used to the Sim Updates, the World Updates via Marketplace and the Content Updates via Content Manager. Ugh

WU 17 Today (Now live already)
Anyone else NOT getting photogrammetry in Edinburgh city centre? The trailer for this WU depicts Edinburgh as having photogrammetry.

WU 17 Today (Now live already)
Yes I downloaded the new UK update from the Marketplace. Could someone else please confirm Edinburgh city centre actually got photogrammetry like the YouTube video shows? Meanwhile I will empty community folder, try safe mode and double check caches etc. Thank you.

WU 17 Today (Now live already)
Looks like Edinburgh got photogrammetry from the YouTube video here at 57 seconds, and via this image, but when I load into Edinburgh after the update there is no photogrammetry. Same for anyone else? I have reset rolling cache, disabled and re-enabled photogrammetry, disabled / re-enabled online features, rebooted sim etc 😞

Reimagining a classic - Flight Arcade
Hey everyone, So Microsoft just created this browser based Flight Sim to demo their new Web Browser in Windows 10. What I find astonishing is their video reflecting on Flight Simulator as a brand - it just gave me great hope, probably an empty hope. http://flightarcade.com/learn/ Dave Denhart's public LinkedIn profile doesn't show an update since Sep 2012. Amazing to think he was with subLOGIC from the very beginning: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dave-denhart/6/696/205

Quiet after the storm........
I am an extremely long time lurker, and dedicated FS fan. This news has my hopes up although we're into August now and nothing so far. Hope news comes soon. Anyway, I wanted to say that I think stone should setup a donate button on his site, I'd be keen to support the toolkit for sure, perhaps others would too. Although I guess the point at which stone accepts money blurs the lines of suddenly then feeling responsible - a feeling I wouldn't like myself. Just a thought / conversation point. Anyways, nice to be following you guys and gals, and fingers crossed for news soon.

Flight Toolkit - 0.9.4 - Integrated addon database, new livery packs, fixes for Alaska map
Not been on this forum for a long time, but you've just made me want to fire up Flight again. Brilliant work stonelance, thank you.

Is anyone close to cracking this thing open?
Really WELL DONE here stonelance and gibbage. I was on the early beta (wont forget the excitement and anticipation) - and now there are sparks of those same feelings coming back. Good luck. Perhaps a Kickstarter project to help fund this could happen?

Loki's 8/17 Blog about Aerocaches
Loki - "The will to fly, is in your eyes" - words from First Steps by Elbow, the Olympic theme. This is what I hear in my mind when I realise you are striving on beyond the odds -

Loki's 8/17 Blog about Aerocaches
Loki, if you are reading this, you are doing a great job. Well done and keep going. You ARE onto something. Every fan of Microsoft Flight / Flight Simulator loves and feeds off this genuine, honest and most importantly - human - approach. Sharing your difficulties, as you do, only adds to the sense that you're trying, and trying hard which I, and I'm sure many other appreciate greatly.

Lokis latest post - 'Getting to know....well....me'
I think Loki's approach is spot on. Yes they've stopped development, but they needed to ditch Joshua Howard and now he's gone perhaps the shadow he was casting has shone light on the potential. Who knows, it'll all come down to cold hard cash and times are tough, Vancouver game studios are feeling it and I'm sure there are a complex set of issues, but there is still a flicker of light here and that might say something about Microsoft not ditching the whole product.

Lokis latest post - 'Getting to know....well....me'
I think my feelings are based on both a disbelief that it's over, and a post Olympic British triumphant hope that they could pull off a resurgence.

Lokis latest post - 'Getting to know....well....me'
https://news.microsoftflight.com/blogs/news/archive/2012/08/15/getting-to-know-well-me.aspx Development has stopped, but this new refreshingly honest and frequent communication stream has begun. Microsoft have built a fantastic foundation in Flight to 'fire up' or re-open development in the future. I can't help linger on an ebb of excitement here and am still glued, if not more so to the blog updates. Please please Microsoft keep going. We are right behind you.

Microsoft Flight Alaskan Wilderness Trailer
I hope MS are gearing up to add missions into Alaska because the exciting trailer they have created feels somewhat disconnected from the reality of what The Alaskan experience feels like to me just now.

Will Alaska get Aerocaches and missions?
Aerocaches are coming very soon. Posted on the beta discussions.
- ALASKA IS OUT...?

New Alaska screenies
I am so excited about the release of Alaska. Does anyone know if people who have still have access to the Microsoft Flight Beta discussions forum are allowed to post things that are discussed over there here in the Avsim Flight forums?
