April 7, 201214 yr As posted by Destructoid and confirmed by a dev on Steam, PAX attendees can get a sneak peek at Alaska if they track down the Flight demo in the Xbox booth! Anybody know of anyone at the conference that can sneak in and see if there are any new planes? I'll update this post with info if I get any, but no promises. I don't think any of the folks I know that are going to be at the conference would be interested in checking this out...
April 7, 201214 yr Commercial Member I know of someone who will be at PAX East, but he will be doing the demo's =) Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer
April 7, 201214 yr I'd like to see what new plane(s) are in store for that Alaskan bush flying experience...
April 7, 201214 yr Only thing I can find so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-6HyHLQIn8 doesn't reveal much. Steve Smith i7-2600K - GTX580 - 8GB ram

April 8, 201214 yr This is pretty dire. Normally at least one person from Avsim would have a gander at an event like this wouldn't they? Is there no one here from Boston? Steve Smith i7-2600K - GTX580 - 8GB ram
April 8, 201214 yr Hmmm. the preview in that video has been changed, and it seems to show a new screenshot with the Maule in the red and white paint scheme.
April 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member BTW, the guy demoing it is Paul Lang. Really cool guy and a full pilot himself. One of the leads on the team. He built his own P-12C and will be flying it this summer! =) Honestly many people on the Flight team are full PPL (or higher) pilots. Some on the team are even instructors or former airline pilots. April 9, 201214 yr Commercial Member BTW, the guy demoing it is Paul Lang. Really cool guy and a full pilot himself. One of the leads on the team. ACES had the same 'mix' on it's team... didn't make things better. As long as the 'bean counters' are the ones who decide what is and isn't important... things will remain unchanged. FS has suffered for many years because of this... and I see some serious flaws in the flight dynamics of Flight as well. In short... the 'expertise' you are wanting to crow about... has little impact... it never really did. It was the 3rd party development that has always had the greatest impact on fidelity in FS. April 9, 201214 yr Hey guys, please stick to the topic of this post . . . which is the Alaska Pack's preview at PAX. When someone adds an off-topic post, it is best just to ignore that post, instead of a bunch of people adding a bunch of replies to that post . . . which are also all off-topic. April 9, 201214 yr Ok guys, do not take this for granted but my friend told me yesterday he read somewhere DLC is due sometime next week! I asked him about the source but he couldn't remember since he was browsing through many pages, found that rumor on some but he later closed it so he couldn't remember the address. Now, don't take this post the wrong way, i was merely telling you guys what i heard and was wondering did any of you stumble upon that particular rumor or any other? Btw, in a Gamespy article i read yesterday, they mention the following "When you consider the upcoming Alaska DLC could be released at a presumed $19.99..." So, do you guys think they know something we don't or they're just taking a shot in the dark? Cheers
