Cloud shadows...

I think the fan page is official :)http://www.flightsim...dpost&p=2423971
The image clearly has been cropped - see black triangle in the top left corner. The bottom of the image has equally clearly been photoshopped to add the caption and also to add a tint to black.

Even that last "magic screenie" didn't look that good.
LOL - why do you think they called it a "MAGIC screenie"? Best regards,Robin.

Didn't real environment xtreme (REX) guys had a plan of cloud shadows few times ago? I can remember they had a shot of those shadows but never heard anything again... does someone remember? EDIT: found!

Kind regards, Erich.

Yes on further observation the top left hand hand corner shows cropping, but I can't see any other.Would a Facebook 'fan' really manipulate a publicly available screenshot that much to use as his pages profile pic?

Who knows what some people will do?

Fact is, absence of cloud shadows would - for me, at least - detract immensely. We are far enough ahead in graphics tech. Cloud shadows should be there.
I agree, I may be wildly optimistic about Flight, but I got beautiful cloud shadows in Wings of Prey... more than a year ago. It's not a technology block anymore, I hope they don't decide against them for this release!

Considering the latest update of X-Plane has cloud shadows on the ground and aircraft implemented, I believe it's safe to assume Flight will incorporate them as well... Right?

Never safe to assume anything especially with MS and Flight.

Was this not what turned out to be REXplane?

Then I'll go with XPlane!

Kind regards, Erich.

Not including cloud shadows (or VC rain for that matter) would be folly in a 2011/12 title. It would be like leaving out water reflections in a ship simulator.

REX was trying to get cloud shadows to work but for now has placed it in a "to do" pile.http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php?topic=15409.0
