The global scenery generated in XPX.50b4 is totally, Orbx'ish...
Still thinking about updating. How are the two new GA models (Baron and Kingair) with their respective manipulators working out? Any shots?

Engine freezing enroute
Hey Team, I really enjoy flying this plane. I really do. However, today I came across a "strange" behaviour that most probably is not strange at all, but first things first. Flying from SBSP to SBRF, FL 210, about 90.000 lbs, about one third of distance travelled. Engine was set up according to provided performance data and I just switched from the ALT-MAIN-MAIN-ALT fuel config to the XFEED-MAIN-MAIN-XFEED fuel configuration. Then, after a short glimpse, Eng 1 "freezed" like not moving visually (just freezing in its turning position). It was not clearly stopped, more or less freezed in its moving look. Oil temp was falling rapidly, Oil pressure also dropped more slowly. All the remaining engine parameters freezed in their respective position. When trying to restart that engine (kind of silly but what should I do?) the oil pressure climbed repeatedly, just to drop again for about 20 times with nothing happening. And here comes my question: What was going on?

British Eagle livery
OK, must have missed that. Thanks.

British Eagle livery
Hey fellow simmers, when downloading the British Eagle cargo livery (DC6A) on the PMDG page, I get the DC6B livery of that plane. The livery for the cargo version is not loaded correctly on the DC6A. Is this a false location of the file at your download page?

P3D crash with TFS B777-200/300 PW & RR model
I am sorry to re-open this thread. Just realised (using the fabulous AVSIM CTD Guide), that this CTD occured with me today (at least in the beginning of the flight). Is there a list of certified P3D AI Models? Or at least models that tend to crash?

Poof!....it's all gone...
Restoring the system did not work on similar issues with my FS9-installation. THat function is not well made by Microsoft, I guess. The best thing for you would be, to find a tool that can track your file deletion/creation/editing/moving process even after the event itself. Does anyone know such a tool?

QWSim 146 Released
Are Terminal Procedures (SIDs/STARs/ARRIVALs) included or is it more like a LIGHT variant?

QWSim 146 Released
Does anyone know if there's a paintkit available? I cannot access painters forum at QWSim forums since I haven't bought the bird yet.

November samples and "News" updated
Shot 9 and 10 definitely is an answer to all the XPlane shots. However, I am still not convinced of FLIGHT, sorry.

Airbus ends production of A340
Are you serious? The best plane in the world and a real beauty up in the skies is banned from production before we get a decent simulation of it? Come on! At least we have about five 757 simulations. Thank you very much.

What was YOUR first payware airliner?
PSS A320 - a milestone in FS development until today. No one managed to improve what they did with their Airbus series in such a quality even ten years later! Thank you, Phoenix Simulation Software!

Who wants an Embraer 120 Package for FSX?
I think the Aerosoft Airbus project with its "we-do-not-develope-the-computer-serving-the-coffee-machine" approach is on the right track. Simulating an airbus is not done by lowering fps and develop every single page from the AOM one by one. If they continue with their astonishing models and the promised Advanced version, I am fully satisfied. Plus A318, A319, A330 and A340 of course. That's for the airbus part of your post. An Embraer 120 could be interesting but I cannot put my finger on what they should do after the Dash when their turboprop team is ready for some new stuff. In my eyes, PMDG team didn't disappoint me with their J41 and I know they will find something neat to fly with. However, Dash is not on its way yet, so why would you even think on what comes after that. It's like thinking of what to have for dinner when having breakfast.

Flight project cancelled/on hold
Maybe they are going on their well deserved (we'll see!) vacation before the product goes into final or even release.

buying mesh
I think FSGlobal serves you the best. Its resolution is far more than you will actually need and it covers the whole world. http://secure.simmarket.com/flight-1-europe-fsglobal-2010-%28de_4108%29.phtml

Flight project cancelled/on hold
In my eyes we are going to see. If someone said my project was cancelled ... I'd probably feed them with screenies or a video. If I was MS I already would have done that.

Is Flight1 getting into the X-Plane add-on business?
It would be important to know how deep and how fast AS will be diving into the XP10 market. At least one or two of the following developers would be needed to complete a full switch from FSX to XP10: PMDG, Flight 1, FSDT, FlyTampa, ORBX or Level-D. What we already have is weather/texture by REX and GA aircraft by Carenado. Cannot think of more at the moment. It is not about what XP has to offer in general, it is about what we want. I have given up hope that MS will ever start to think of "how can we open our code for developers" or "let's think of systems available in less than five years". With XP we would get a listening partner in development and not a team far away without a forum.

Is Flight1 getting into the X-Plane add-on business?
If we get Xplane instead of Flight, the community could access the developers much easier than it can now. Microsoft would never think of writing in the avsim forums or even look at it. XPlane developers do contact their customers more directly and maybe finally will ask US what WE want.

Recommend an external Flight Planner?
web based flight planner is: rfinder.asalink.net/free - worked well for my flights until I bought FSBuild - calculates Fuel, Takeoff speeds (sometimes), SIDS, STARS, Wind (in connection with ActiveSky) and so on and a very good freeware is PlanG - a freeware flight planning tool with many, many options. Just google for it.

A good Twin Engine Turboprop for FSX
And for the small GA liner I would consider the 210 or 172 by Carenado. In addition to a complex VFR scenery (like ORBX) you will get many steps further in flight simming.

A good Twin Engine Turboprop for FSX
PMDG: J41REALAIR: Turbin Duke That's it.
