November 11, 201114 yr There isn 't really any reason for this post, but fun to see everyones choices and opinions...My first was the CS 757 4.4, about 2.5 years ago, WAY beyond my skill level at the time, now, not so much...Regards,
November 11, 201114 yr The think the NGX bar none for me, I have to admit I do A LOT of my flying on the JS4100 though, especially because it has FS2Crew Voice Commander, thanks to Bryan York (he's a genius just by the way :D). November 11, 201114 yr I got the CS757 as my first, but didn't like it and never completed a flight. My second was the NGX and I have not flown anything else since!G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
November 12, 201114 yr 767 PIC which I have flown through three different sims starting in FS2000 and still flying it today in FS2004.Will also take it through to FSX.The second was the Dreamfleet 737.cheersJP.
November 12, 201114 yr I actually have to give the freeware POSKY the real credit. I found their efforts much more realistic than the default. As for payware it was the PSS Airbus A340 and A330. When I first started simming I thought anyone that would play for an addon airplane was insane. What really tipped the scales was the PMDG NG. Nothing could compare after that. That plane started a landslide and obsession for realism from everything from airplanes to many thousands of dollars in hardware upgrades and addons for the ultimate realism. Now I am certifiable. I agree with you, Back when I couldn't tell the difference between the default 747 VC and the PMDG, the POSKY model was a very attractive feature for the freeware side of life.
November 12, 201114 yr Mine was Technique Direct , HQ Aircraft collection1 737 panel for FS5. (1995)http://www.flightsim.com/main/review/b737pnl.htmIt was the first real attempt I can recall to add any sort of systems to MSFS.It was the first FS plane to have an auto throttle and auto brakes. We take these features for granted now, cause its part of the sim, but it was a huge breakthrough back then.Regards.Ernie.
November 12, 201114 yr Honestly, I have never even considered a payware jetliner. I tried the POSKY ones back in FS2002, but never got into the whole commercial tubeliner deal. My first payware aircraft was the Flight1 421 for FS2002 with repaints from Ed Knapp and Ron Hamilton, loved that plane. It's depressing to think about how many payware aircraft I have now that I don't fly, time to dust some off I guess.
